Its that time of the year again; The Battle of Imports Vs Domestics
This year its 2 days thank god, last time I was runnin till 1:30 am..
My predictions: A maxima will walk away with All motah class.. hint hint Blue car HInt hint....
I will win Street Et bracket.... Any auto 4thgen or 4thgen auto w/3.5 is welcome to challenge me..lmao
Domestics will win the entire event. After there loss from last year, many new turbo systems and other products have become avail. Since, thats the only way those civics and other girly crap could pull there tiny front wheels in front at the last moment......

Its not the IS300 he is worried about. Its the 2 Vdubs and the NSX. The top qualifier will probably be a 12.6 or so. If I can sell my nitrous and get tuned and borrow some slicks I should be easlily in the 12's. I might start looking for some weight to take off too.

Maybe I missed last year. But the last time I went JP lost in the final to an IS350.
What Vdubs are running that fast, VR6 cars? Are the stock 2.0 turbo cars allowed in this class? Also, I did not think NSX's were that fast. Who knew.

All I know about thier cars is that they are on their stock motors. The black one ran 12.9@106 and the pink one ran 12.59@10X at IMSTAR in september. My main competition this year wil be a all motor QR sentra on slicks running 13.2. Yeah the NSX is fast he's running like 12.8 with a really good driver.

wow really. Those are older than what I was thinking. Did the old gti's even come with a VR6? I thought the class JP ran in was stock engine no power adders.

Oh Yeah! A friend of mine had a 96 GTI VR6. He put me on them, he swears by that motor.

WHO KNEW?!?!?! everyone BUT you...lol...yea there is 6 in the mid to high 12's that will be there...
they are vr's, and yes they are wayyyy lighter than the MKIV's..my MKIII wont be done this year but soon after the start of the year she will hit the street...... my boy sky ran 12.8xx last year, he didnt run @ the last event and has since sold the car to my boy BUBBA, and he will be there too...so yea, the dubs are in the building.

THEY CAN BE MADE LIGHT, BUT GENERALLY THEY ARE SUPRISINGLY heavier than most think, lighter than a maxima but not by too much...and yes i LOVE MY VR, the sound with a magnaflow is BLISSFUL.

JP used to run in an all motor class with no swaps or power adders allowed.
If I wasn't trying to get a house, my new project would be running real nice. I may still take it out and run it but the only difference from my baseline is suspension so far.

I would like to race in this event. But I can't compete in the All Motor class that allows engine swaps. I can only run mid 12s consistently. I probably won't even qualify with times like that.

Unfortunately that's true. A bunch of the swapped hondas run much faster than that. Plus I am not sure if there is a class for V6's with motor swaps, you may have to run against swapped 4cyls with one power adder, but I have not looked at the rules in a while.

I was looking at the rules recently. I can compete in the motor swap NA class, even though I have a V6. But, I can't hang with those Hondas running high 10s NA. I'm lucky to do a 12 flat in perfect weather.
And if I add a power adder (nitrous), I'd be lucky to run an 11 flat. And those FWD power adder guys are doing 10 flat. My best chance of winning would be to compete in the fastest ET bracket class. But I can do that anywhere. I want to do some heads up stuff.

im in... i thought after the qualifiers, they do it by racket racing???... i kno i saw bracket racing yo... i just want to be in a respectable position for my autotragic... maybe i should slow down to a 14.0 and be in a stock class lol... jk
