My catback!!lol. No really, i had been wanting to do it for awhile, and when i finally got mine off, i saw all the more reason!! I had been saying for awhile that it felt they my car was choking when it gets up in the rpm range. But of course, everyone said i was making excuses. When i took the catback off, i found out that there was carbon build up on the inner lip of one of the flanges. The ID of the b-pipe at that flange was about an 1 1/2. then from there it went into a crush bent pipe to the muffler. After changing it out for the cattman catback, i noticed an instant pick-up in top-end pull.

I dont think the cat back had anything to do with it, your MPH has been 106 since last November when you ran 13.2 right? so if your trap is still 106 now then I dont think the exhaust technically took you from 13.1 to 12.9. I think it would be more so the weight reduction of taking out all the back seats and running with nothing but the front 2 seats. So with that weight reduction and and you now running on DRs I think thats what helped you the most. How much would you say you car was weighing yesterday? about 3000 to 3100? cause I think Jon said his should have weighed 3100 and I think his interior would make his car heavier than yours.

i think ill have to agree with accord on this once (it hurts to), but he's got a point with exhaust n MPH, but weight reduction IDK i wasnt there... the psi in the radials had to have played more a factor than exhaust... just my opinion n thoughts... congrats none the less

That would seem logical, but let me help you guys out since i may have alittle more racing knowledge.
1. My previous 13.2 was run on a low 70 temp day at night. 12.99 was my first pass directly off the road at about 85+ degrees
2.That 106.00 was my slowest MPH of the day
3. My dyno #'s CLEARLY say i gained HP
4.Those who know drag racing know that when you hook-up good,99.9% your MPH will be slower than when you spin
5.That 12 pass was my best 60' of the day, after that i fooled with the tire press and never got it right again
6. This is also why alot of people post there best ET and best MPH seperate. Because they were not on the same run. EX: My 4thgen

So how much would you say the pulling out your back seats and front head light contributed to your time? you didnt say what your car weighed either..

Congrats though.....

i'm not gonna be the one to argue beleive me... i just cant see it being only exhaust, thats like saying if you keep your revious exhaust you would never break 12's... im just saying but whatever you say man, just congrats

My fault. The new catback is a 3" cattman Prototype. The old bpipe was clogged + crush bent
