EDIT: Jason Campbell = getting better
EDIT: Since I will always admit when I'm wrong (unlike alot of you), I will be the first to admit that Campbell is playing much better since he poor week 1 game. He looked very good today vs. Dallas, though he still holds the ball too damn long alot of the time.
We'll see where the rest of the season goes.
btw, please remember that I have been a Redskins fan for about 30 years, so don't even try to play the bandwagon game.

Yea I watched that, I wasn't too impressed either.
I've seen college QB's at the bottom of the league play better...

Campbell is exactly what Patrick Ramsey was a few years earlier: A guy with a great arm and a high perceived "upside" who never actually makes the real plays....

He's actually not that bad, you'd rather him for the ball downfield into double or triple coverage than to dump it down. Were there bad plays, yes, and plenty of them, but I still think this guy can succeed with a little consistansy at a coaching level. You cannot expect a QB to develop learning an entirely new system every year.

So a guy with a new offense every year is no good. A guy with no offensive line is no good. Go ahead and put Colt Brennan out there playing against the 3rd string D is much different thank playing against the starters. Don't forget the line won't be blocking for him either.

now im not a redskin fan, but god irish you never seize to amaze me, dont ever say any good of campbell ever, last year it was let cambell start, now on the first game of the season its trash the guy (typical redskin fan) he technically didnt even have a terrible game, what about giving the giants D some credit, i see it as he took what the defense gave, he's been a solid QB since college and will be solid in pro ball...

+ 1 on the Cambell is terrible. Though our receivers had way too many drops as well, so not all the blame rests on him.
Colt Brennan FTW, love that sidearm!

ok.. wait.. he is not terrible.. the play calling is whats terrible...
Zorn scripts his first 15-20 plays. he was not prepared for false starts or even sacks..
So it messed up his script
honestly, i think this last game the play calling and the line protection is what sucked.
i hate the whole "runnin back to the ball" routes, but i think they do that because our recievers have the ablitity to make people miss and run for yards after the catch..
The west cost offense is set up for him to go "Hike.. 1 (read)... 2(Read)... 3 (Make Decision and throw).. he only has a three step drop and within that three step drop, the has to make a throw by the third step.. there was a few plays where he held the ball for too long, and the play would have worked if he would have thrown it sooner, but from what i see is that he is heisitant now, and when he throws the ball late, he gives the other teams dbacks chances to make plays based on his body language.... they got into a groove in the second half (late as hell) but they need to come out and play every series like its a 2 min drill in order for the offensive plays to work.. it seems like thats when they are at they best.
give them 2 more games.. they will have it down pat.

You see the SIG... I can care less about Dredskins football. I ALWAYS been a Steerlers fan (Dont get it twisted)but at least I would root for the home team to win. They lost a fan when they let Doug Williams go after he came off the bench and won the superbowl for them... Ungreatful summa... Its Karma Baby.. Karma!

my team sucks azz and you'll never really hear me talk about them (Raiders), but it kills me how the deadskin fans react to a win or loss, 1 win= superbowl champs and 1 L= re-do the whole team rosters... always point the finger at the wrong peron............. the comment DaveVQ made was the worste followed by the OP... in all honesty i personally think Campbell is a much more talented QB vs ELI, however i think Eli is a bit more developed and is equipped with a better team, he is also more settled in the offense vs campbell... look at eli's 1st year, i would like to see if they were redskin minded, they'd probebly have thrown him out for some of the street boys and girls club QB then say they expect to win the superbowl in week 2

I'll say this. Campbell is a HELL of a lot better than Grossman. Come to think about it, a Pee Wee League quarterback is better than Grossman.

i blame the offensive co. one, they didn't have a hurry up offense. two, it's not jasons fault they choose running plays with 4mins left and we need 2 scores. my little cousin can choose better plays on Madden. I say we have good WR. throw them the damn ball. they ALWAYS rely on clinton portis to make **** happen. yes you need a running game but they are so predictable. 1st/2nd down run and 3rd pass. id go deep on there ass to santana. make them respect the deep ball then that opens up the run.

well same could be said in reverse, if either the run or pass was established earlier in the game, then yea it would have been a different game... +1 on your comment about portis, way better comment than others, however he plays a huge roll in the offense

i think he plays a big roll in selling tickets for the game. i think Betts is a better back. he's more of a downhill runner. not a side to side runner. we need a power back. somebody to run ppl over like we got ran over last night. we had TJ Duckett last year i think, but he didn't get any play. but he did good in tampa bein a back up HB.

The main thing is that Portis is a GREAT blocker. Did you see him lay out that defensive end last night? Betts isn't nearly as tough of a pass-protection blocker as Portis is, even if they're probably equal in terms of the actual running.
