The N00B Welcome Thread!!!! N00Bs, Introduce Yourself Here!

In the past week we've had and are continuing to have a discussion about flaming, sarcastic remarks and just joking around. It seems that all of the new and old rules implemented are here for one reason, and that is to bring out all the n00bs out of hiding.

In this thread, all new members will introduce themselves without having to worry about being flamed to death. In this thread, there are no cliques and smart-a55 comments. This thread is dedicated to all the hesistant new members, and even old members that don't post often. You shall be welcomed with open arms.............. for now.
And there will be no post-whoring!!!!

I'm semi-OG, but I've never properly introduced myself to the forum so here goes: My name is Ahmad but all my friends call me Tuna (please don't ask why). I drive a p.o.s. white 97 Maxima SE. As you can see in my sig, it's as slow as they come. My mods, for the most part, are listed on my cardomain and you're more than welcome to go visit and ask me about them, although, they are all aesthetic. I love to bowl, shoot pool, hang out with friends, going to Maxima meets and meeting new people and long walks on the beach. I'm a very easy-going, laid-back person that gets along with just about anyone, as long as you can handle my smart remarks from time to time. That is all.

Good thread Tuna. I'm gonna sticky it unless you want it to float.

OG's: Please don't PW or flame in here. Any PWing in this thread will be deleted.

n00bs: be sure to post in the "Directory" and "Faces Behind the Names" stickies.

Welcome to DCMAX. I live in the halethorpe/lansdown area also. You've probably seen my max or Z around since I'm always driving. If you ever need any help with your max I'll be glad to assist. Have fun with your max and come out to some meets.

Sometimes we'll plan quick meets on a friday or saturday but the ones in the link above are the bigger ones.

Nah, generally it's just talking Maximas. You should come out to the RCP meet at the end of this month. That's a good one to attend. You can check out other people's Maximas and get ideas for mods and whatnot. And don't let what seems to be e-thuggery on here fool you. When we get together, it's the nicest group of guys you'll ever meet(no homo).

Welcome to the DC forum, Kyle. There are a few NC guys around, but I haven't seen them post much lately. They used to have regular dinners from what I remember. But feel free to jump into any thread at any time and participate. Also, you can post your info in the Directory thread in case any of the NC guys wanted to contact you and take advantage of your job at Discount Tire. There's also a Faces Behind The Names thread where you can post a picture of yourself.

That's cool. As long as you have a Max, or Nissan product for that matter, you're good to go. LOL, we even have moderators who don't own Maximas anymore, but it's all good, we don't discriminate. And like I told Domo, feel free to jump into the Friday thread, and any other thread.

Hi, I am Alex...33....Leo. I don't drive a Maxima but want to hang out on the Maxima forum because Maximas are so cool. Women just love them. Plus, they are extremely fast. I heard they do low 9s.

My name is David I drive a 95 Maxima w/auto tranny. It has a few mods, mostly aesthetic not for speed.
Here goes...
GReddy catback with ebay testpipe, black over silver paint, shaved doorhandles, shaved antenna, debadged, CF hood, CF trunk, cheapo body kit with CF lip, fully smoothed and fiberglassed colormatched interior with PS2 in the dash where passenger airbag used to be, 7 inch indash monitor for PS2 and backup camera(no rearview mirror) MOMO steering wheel, Pioneer HU with Infinity reference components all around, CF dash kit, air struts up front, cans(cylinders) in the rear powered by a Viair 380 compressor with 5 gallon tank and half inch valves all mounted in spare tire well. Racing Hart 18" wheels. Fully aired up fenderwells are +-29 inches, aired down they are just a hair under 23".

I think thats' about it. Nice site BTW.

Thanks, I would really like to find the previous owner/builder of this car. The guy I bought it from only had it for 2 months and really didn't know anything about it. I'm finding new "mods" everyday as I've only had it for 2 weeks. Anybody remember who had it or how to contact them? TIA, David

I found it on Mautofied.com and drove out to Tennessee and picked it up. The guy I bought it from had only had it since April or so and the owner before him was from Illinois. According to the dates on 95Bkackmax18s' homepage he had the car as recent as May of last year. So I guess I'm the 4th??? owner in ohhh 13 months.
Needless to say, after changing hands so many times nobody knows the story behind the car. I'd really like to talk to him to get a little more history.
