Just purchased my first Maxima on 9/23/06 - a 2003 6-speed HLSD.

I've owned mostly Hondas, but once drove a 1982 Datsun 720 Pick-up to well over 200,000 miles (purchased it with 88K). I am coming off a love/hate relationship with my previous car, a 1999 BMW 540i 6-speed. I loved driving it, but I hated its appetite for repairs and maintenance. I feel the Maxima Gen 5.5 6-speed is the closest I could come in my price range (sub-$15K) to what I had in the 540, yet be more economical/dependable.
