just curious as to who here on the board was from southern IN or the KY area. Im located in louisville.

also looking for an experience car guy who is willing to help with some mods on my car.

40 minutes south of ya in Radcliff, KY.

Limited knowledge on mechanical work but i can usually figure out the electrical stuff.

Got a 07 se. Only done a few things to it so far. Full double din dvd/nav, HD radio, ipod, blue tooth, backup camera, swi-jack, nird-01, Jl1000/1 JL13w7(generic slot port box), big3, dynamat rear deck/seat/trunk lid. Hardwired beltronics rx65. Added shock and tilt sensors to the factory alarm. HID Headlights/fog lights. Switchbacks, and LED tail light housing. 20%tint. Cold air intake. Progress rear sway bar.

When i get get off my *** Ive got a 240amp alternator and kp technology fog light module to install so i can run the for fog lights without the head lights on. Also need to do a flush on the radiator and a drain/refill on the cvt. And a **** load of rock chips to touch up.

looks good. i bet you do got some rock chips...you get them where ever you go in KY...i had some deer chips from a trip home from Lex after a UK game...lol.

i have limited knowledge when it comes to stereos...ive installed most of mine.

Over in Evansville. What are you looking to do? I've rebuilt my transmission (along with anything that goes along with that. i.e.: the clutch) and replaced my core support. I've also worked on many other cars from SRT-4's to WRX's. Just let me know if I can be of any help.

can you do install of springs/shocks? most places ive called want 80/hr quoting me 4-6 hours.

also what about suspension bushings?

I'm sure I can, but since I've never done it before, I wouldn't want your car to be my first. I've done 2 coilover installs, but those are just direct swap out. Also, after installing any suspension comes the matter of alignment. I KNOW I can't do that.

Haven't done bushings either. Although I REALLY need to replace mine.

I'm sure I/we could figure it out, but if you don't want to, I completely understand.

im always down to learn...i dont have a lot of experience.

springs/struts seem easy enough to me, just need tools. same with the bushing nothing to press the bushings in.

ill do some reading and pick up a manual, ive already got an FSM so ill look through that. itll be a while before i get the springs/struts but i should be getting the bushings in a couple weeks.

Ha, I'm building my experience as I go with my cars. My 5spd is my project car turned dd right now due to bad oil channel o-rings on my white 96. So it's waiting for me to get time to fix it. . . again. So don't get me wrong, I would love to do it, just would hate to mess something up on someone else's car.

Since I just got to looking at bushing's myself, I'm probably going to do the same since they are relatively inexpensive.

I've got the FSM as well, and if I didnt,I would just get the digital from pmohr's website.

Just let me know what you want to do, and i'll let you know if/when I do my bushings.

p.s.- the guy with the SRT-4 that i've worked on HAS done springs, so I'm sure he would help as well. The variety of cars really helps add experience to guys in this area, so there is a wealth of knowledge at my disposal. If I haven't done it, I can get a hold of someone who has. lol.

sounds good.

im willing to learn (and pay) 80 and hours is steep, but someone that is will to teach and do the job i would pay for sure. ill let you know about the springs and let me know about the bushings...i dont know about them but i can offer a set of hand to grab tools...or beers...lol.

I just got stationed at ft.campbell and I can do struts and springs. I did my own illumina/s-techs. just need basic tools and the spring compressor. I just dont know when id have time to help.
