dyno in STL area?

Does anyone know of a shop with a dyno in the St. Louis area? I have been able to find one, but they don't respond to my e-mails. Any recommendations? How expensive are dyno runs (for an hour or two of tuning)??

thanks!

I know of 2 one is Adrenaline Motorsports in st charles. I have been there before. I dont know how much they charge for tuning. Their dyno is in house
636 477 9563 give them a call.

The other is Speed and Sound in Arnold. I have been there as well I know they can set you up with a dyno but it's not in house. They tune very well though several 700 and 800 HP cars.

I will need the same thing when I get there. Would they know how to hook up the V-AFCII also?

Yeah both places will be able to. Adrenaline Motorsports quoted me $500 for an SAFC 2, install and tune back when I was looking.

wow that's not bad at all. their site only lists the apexi neo, no safcII. i'm gonna ask for a quote like yours, but with the neo. does anyone have any experience with it?

and thanks a bunch, I couldn't find a dyno for the life of me! and i'll probably take my business to adrenaline.

When I asked him about the NEO he said he didn't know if it would work on my 6th gen but he said the safc 2 would. The NEO isn't much different from the safc 2 I dont think he'll have a problem tuning it.

The Neo would work on your Maxima shawndon...also Redline if also an option, they are all F-bodies but dyno many cars...also Speed & Sound is more expensive to dyno b/c they have an AWD dyno that costs more, depending on where you are Adrenaline is a very good place to go, they have good experience with Nissan's (Skyline's, 350z's, 300zx's) Just call around and maybe you can talk them into getting a dyno day for all of us Maxima fellas...lol

The only reason I'm not doing the NEO is because it's been known to learned around by the 6th gen ECU and also I'm going to do the UTEC. I spoke to Adrenaline about the UTEC and they said they could do it. But I think Speed and Sound may have more experience with the UTEC and the VQ engine as well and they are authorized dealers of TurboXS. And you are right they are a little expensive but the engine tune is something I cant skimp on. I'm still not sure yet on who's going to tune it but it's between those 2. Adrenaline's dyno is good though been here for that and they also did my brakes. I'll talk more to adrenaline in the spring. I'm sure something could be worked out for a dyno day Next time I'm there I'll ask them. Their dyno gets pretty busy though when the racing season starts back up. It's been busy even now last time I called they were booked for the next 2 weeks.

Alright I got Cattman Gen 1 Headers, and the NWP Spacers, so I decided to go ahead and buy an AFC so I picked up a black SAFC-2. I went to Speed and Sound and they quoted me only $250 to tune or $400 for install and tune...so I will be getting it tuned and dynoed there. Hoping to get at least 240whp

So Colin (harmbone2k2) went today and got his car dyno-tuned and from what I hear with the 10% added (because it's a Mustang dyno lower numbers) he put down 254whp. I am going tomorrow to drop my car off and then going back on Saturday morning to watch them work their magic. I'm hoping to get right around where Colin did horsepower wise. I'm probably going to call either Redline or Adrenaline because they have Dynojets and after I get the car tuned go to one of them to get some accurate dyno numbers. Any of you guys gonna be out Saturday it's supposed to be 55 and sunny!!!!!

I personally would steer clear of Adrenaline for tuning purposes. You will be getting a Chuck tune on the car, which he is known for his poor tuning. Give Performance by Joe or Hi-Tuned Performance a call. Both Joe and Matt are very fair on their pricing and very good tuners. Joe helped me tune my Probe, and did a wonderful job.

Is this hearsay?? Or do you know of anyone personally that has gotten a bad tune?

I know of several people who have walked out of there with lackluster tunes. Unless you are getting a 240 tuned, I would stay away for tuning purposes

I have had a tune done by adrenaline and the car still run like crap afterwards and charles made it seem as if by me paying him money to make the car run properly i was inconviencing him. Also i have seen him run a car to 17:1 while underload on they dyno, it was an all motor vehcile but he did not let off and stayed in the throttle and completed the pull. I tune many of my friends cars in the area and i prefer to use the dyno at Performance by joe (PBJ). He is located off hampton near chipwea. 314-781-3135 give him a call he is a nice guy and will do what he can to assist you. PBJ builds some very sick vipers and SRT10 trucks. Joe is a very experienced and knowledgable tuner.

Speed and Sound in Arnold, Missouri tuned my car about 10 days ago and they did a good job. Now that was a mustang dyno but a good tune nonetheless.

Yeah, I hear good things about them as well. I have never
