April sounds great. Specifically the 10th through the 18th. That is my spring break and most of it will be spent cleaning and modding the Max. That is unless I go to Atlanta that week for the Saab racing driving school that we got from buying the car.

Well y'all, I started this thread back in November and I FINALLY got my Max on Saturday. I'm all for an April get together. Madison is a pretty central location, so that's my vote, but I'm biased living here.

Way to go Tom. Love the max. I agree that Madison is central for us but there aren't many modded people south of here except Chicago and thats a whole nother ball a wax. For them a meet is like going out to lunch with 20 of their closest friends. It happens all the time. Tyler and Tom, this weekend would be good for a mini meet. I'm installing my struts Saturday and any help is appreciated.
BTW, Tyler, I saw your dad Saturday on Monona Drive and gave him a wave.

We got a date and location for this larger meet yet? We have a small local meet scheduled for March 27th up in Appleton, anyone is welcome to come. If we plan another one in April we should set a date soon so everyone can schedule other things around the meet.

Well Ty, the install is done. Sorry man, I did it today. Check my Homepage for the results. What are you talking about a time and place for. All the mods that go on the Max get installed at my house. I got airtools, jack and all the other sh!t you would need to do, oh...lets say,...a tranny swap.

But he doesn't even have a damn 30mm socket....
How about April 3/4 or April 10/11 for a big meet in Madison?

It wasn't bad at all. I love the ride. I put kinda mini writeup on page 6 of my homepage. Sorry for getting offensive I thought you were suggesting that I get my stuff installed at midwest hybrid or dynotuned or some other g@y place like that. I don't have AOL. My home # is 226-8838. My cell # is 213-4541. Give me a call some time. Tom(Massacio) is getting dynoed saturday and I'm going with. Your welcome to join. Probably midday. Before the dynoing we're heading up to Nissan so I can get my front end aligned and he is having his tranny leak fixed.
BTW, Massacio, I found out how big that nut is on the end of the axle. Its a 1.5" socket. I read that while reading up on doing a 5Spd swap. I've decided that I will be 5Spd by next Hockey season, maybe by the end of school but I doubt it.

Yeah, 30mm did sound a little small. That axle-end nut is a big muthasucka....
Broaner, I called Zimbrick Nissan today and talked to Stan. Nice enough guy, but he wouldn't give me an appointment on Saturday because he didn't want to schedule tranny work for a day when there are only two technicians around. I said OK, let me check me weekday schedule and get back to you. What I'm thinking, though , is that I just show up with you on Saturday, first thing or maybe 10 and I could introduce myself to the guys and maybe they'd be cool enough to just do it for me then and there, especially if it's as deserted as you say it is on Saturdays. Also, if the two technicians are the cool guys you mentioned, that'd be awesome. I'd really love to watch and see the bottom of my car from under the lift...but I don't wanna annoy them so I'd have to feel them out. In any case, I wanna go with you anyway; even if they won't do it I'll get a feel for the place. What do you think?
BTW, I'm now driving legally. Went to the DMV first thing and they gave me actual metal plates, 312-GXN, what a lame plate.... I was hoping for something like the one I've seen on a car that parks around here: 401-FUN. Hahaha. But they said once I get my new title (~10 days), I just mail in the personalized-plate form and money and do as I please with these plates. Cool.
Tyrexx, you should set your thread subscription to automatically be "Instant notification by email", that way if someone replies to a thread that you're on, even weeks later, you'll get a message and will stay on top of things.

I would love to learn some detailing stuff from people who know. I have a black car and it's been filthy since I bought it, and I'd like to change that. If we wanted to make detailing a big part of the meet, that'd be great.
How's April 10 or 11 sound for everyone? In Madison unless we decide that somewhere else is more convenient for more people.

I never thought about them not wanting to do a big job on Saturday. Its not really a big job though. Definitely less than 3 hrs. Did you tell him what you suspected was the problem or just say you had a tranny leak? If Stan is there when we both pull in he will probably let you in. The new building is really cool. They have a two wide diagnosic/urgent area. We both pull in and the boys at the Saturn dealership across the street will be sh@ting themselves. I was up there today and bought the courtesy light cover that I recently shattered and also ordered a new Air Intake Temp Sensor. I don't like getting 250/tank so I need to replace it. The harness ripped off of mine after repetitive installation/un-installation.
The weekend of the 10th is good but the Saturday the 3rd is even better. I had the wrong date for my spring break in the previous post. Get ready for this. GLD will be opens on the 3rd so I suggest that we go there and racing will be free for the first 300 racers. Thats right, FREE. we'll all save about $40 if we do it on the 3rd. I know that it makes the road trip almost 3 hrs for you guys but I think it would be incredible to have a race type meet. Is there a track somewhere further north? Beaver damn or Fondulac would be perfect but you can't ask for everthing. At least we have a dyno in Madison now. Tom you could get a chance to see what you can lay down in stock form if you want. I bet you could have your launches down and run a 14.9. LOL.
PrinzII, where in Chicago do you live? I like the idea of a detailing meet but not when its 40 degrees. I would definitely like to attend but we need a place with electricity so we can vacum and sh!t or are we just waxing?

The only track north of Madison that I know of is WIR, just outside of Appleton. Not a bad place, but at least as long of a drive, or more than GLD. I'm not sure when they open, though.

They don't open until mid May. They don't even have their website updated with the 2004 schedule yet.

The meet is at my house in Appleton. If your interested in coming, drop me a PM or e-mail and I'll send you my address and directions. I'm not sure on the latest headcount, but there should be around 4-5 coming so far.

We should take a headcount. I'm curious as to how many people are going to be there.
Here's what I know so far:
1. White95Max
2. Bluesbrekr
3. MaximumHP...
