General Altimax HP's
Hey all...I was looking over on TireRack and came across the General Altimax HP's...they are $100/tire for my size and they are ranked #2 in their category (Grand Touring All Season) and then seem to have some of the best stats over almost every other tire except maybe ones that go for like $200+ dollars...
Just figured I would see if any of you had anything to say about them, they seem like a good solid tire and I think their going to be my next choice...
Here are the stats straight from Tirerack:
Rank Within Category: 2
Would Buy Again: 8.5
Hydroplanning Resistance: 8.8
Wet Traction: 8.9
Cornering Stability: 8.6
Dry Traction: 9.1
Steering Response: 8.6
Light Snow: 7.8
Deep Snow: 7.1
Ice: 7.0
Ride Comfort: 8.9
Noise Comfort: 8.7
Treadwear: 8.5

Been considering these for my gf's 07 Accord EX V-6, as an A/S tire.
Great ratings for the price.
Still considering some dedicated snow tires though, but I'd buy these for HER no question.
Customer reviews on Tire Rack are really good, consistently.
I don't think they're hi-perf enuff for MY driving style -- sidewalls prob. too soft, but again: match your driving style to your tire needs.
If'n I get 'em, I'll report back.

I thought about getting a set myself. I would usually get the Bridgestone Potenzas but these rate as decent in the snow.
