tires for my 99 max

hey guys, i have a 99 max with 17" 06 g35x rims on there. i currently am running 215/55 R17 tires on there. i have decided that its time for new tires. i want something with a little thinner sidewall, you know so less tire will be showing or whatever. does that mean i should go with something like a 215/45 R17? and will that affect the car in anyway (i.e. will it sit "to tall" or will it throw off the speedometer, etc.)? any help will be appreciated.

Check this site from the stickies out. It can help you determine sizing that will work. You want to keep the speedometer and overall diameter as close to original as possible.
