350Z 6-Spoke Alloy front offset, lowering gonna be ok??
I have the 18" 6 spoke 350Z wheels (OEM) with OE bridgestone potenza's.
The front sticks out of the fender well a little bit, what I'm wondering is whether this is going to affect lowering which I'll be doing soon hopefully. I am slightly worried about clearances and am hoping that some of you have dealt with this and can let me know. If there is going to be an issue I suppose I'll have to get them machined.
BTW I am lowering about 1.5"-2"
the 350z setup would be a small staggered sizing. put the wider 8.5 in the rears. what tire size are you running? If its the 350z size, the sidewalls gonna be one size too tall. get the right size tire and you will be fine. ( 45 ---> 40.)
Sorry I forgot to post tire sizes.
They are stock tire sizes,
FRONT - 225/45/R18
REAR - 245/45/R18
So I'm confused, are you saying that the wheels themselves are the same? Same offset width just with wider tires on the rear?
The tires are new, I'm not going to be changing them. So how low can I go? There seems to be a good bit of clearance to drop 1.5"-2" but as I said, I want to be sure before I get struts/springs.

Yep that's exactly what I'm saying if I remember correctly. All four wheels have identical spec except different tire size from factory.
I dont know much about 4th gen, but I would guess that you will need to shave or roll your fenders.

the aspect ratio (sidewall size) are one size too large. your speedo and odo will be off as the diameter of the tire is larger than OE 4th gen specs. it will fill in the gap nicely but its not to spec. run these if you like, but id get the right tire size nonetheless. 235/40-18 would be most preferable.
I was running the same size tires on my Max. I rubbed in front, but never in back. I had them setup just like they were on the Z
How much were you lowered front / back?

Funny thing about that is, my speedo is dead on now, it must have been off before.
And the setup actually only raises about around .90 (almost an inch) from stock setup.
I haven't got the money to put the 'ideal' tire on so that is a no go.
Like I said, I've raised it about 1" from stock just by installing the tires, shouldn't I be able to lower it at least 1.5" ??
Maybe I'll dish out the cash for adjustables, I'm in Canada too so its gonna be low on the winter tires, and then I've got some room to play so I can find the right settings.
More money than I was planning on spending though.
So far this is not the good news I was hoping for!!!!
