What brand and size of tires are u guys runnin with 17"s?

Just wanna see what people are using. I have 215/50/R17, Talon Triangle tires, I got these tires for pretty cheap and I think are wearing unevenly. I have talked with a couple of other people with the same tires and they say it causes slight shaking/vibration. Anyone else know about these tires? Heres a pic of my setup. When they were new they were fine, but now Im also starting to feel some shaking and vibration. They are balanced and my alignement is fine. Sorry about the huge pic...

its not the tires most likely causing your shaking/vibration. you say the wheels are balanced than maybe their bent. youre alignment is prob good, but have the wheels rebalanced and check for bent wheels and put them on the back, that should be it...

Ive never heard of them either, which is why I think they were pretty cheap($300 CAN, no tax, I also know the people a bit so they cut me a small deal). I just wanted to know if anyone else has problems with these tires. Also I heard they basically ripped off the tread design from a set of Michelin's. I dunno they are making noise at highway speeds(90km+,Canadian eh). Been to 2 shops recently, one I truly trust in, and they both say these tires, wear down uneven, and cause shaking/vibration(the one guy actually owns these tires too, and said the same thing.)

225/45/r17 michelin ps2's. Love em, but pricey. I got this set for less than half off because of a failed special order at a local tire place, they just wanted them gone.

When and if I get my 17s I'm going to try to get some 215/50ZR17 Yokohama S Drive tires. They rate extremely well on tirerack. I believe they are summer tires so if you live up north that might not be good but I live in FL so we don't have a true winter.

The wheels are 17x10s as for rubbing I have not run the car on the track with them yet (the Z211 is a race tire, this is my Z32 track setup) but they were ok when I drove around the block on them. I normally run the wheels in my sig 17x9s with 255/40/17s or my staggered setup 17x8.5 255/40 front 17x9.5 275/40 rear. I have 4 sets of wheels and tires (not counting my old SE wheels..they will not clear Z32 brakes) that I swap around between my Z32 and my Maxima.

17x8 + 40 OZ Superleggera with 235/45/17 Hankook RS2 Z212.

Other then a bit of road noise, which is expected of a tire like this, but other then that i love them. Insane handling, grip is extremely good too. Compared to my old Pilot Sport A/S these blow them out of the water.

Also about your tire issue. One of the steel belts could have shifted. Its not uncommon on cheap tires, it will cause a bad vibration and or uneven wear. Your rim could also be bent or your wheel/tire could be out of balance.
