General Exclaim UHP vs. Bridgestone Potenza RE92

I need new tires and was thinking about getting the General Exclaim UHP to replace the Bridgestone Potenza RE92. The reviews on the UHPs are great except that some people say they have soft sidewalls. I do not drive aggressively, but would not like tires with too soft sidewalls. Does anyone know if the UHP's sidewalls are softer than RE92's (both stock size)?

Im assuming a sign of soft sidewalls would be people complaining of rim curbing/bending. I've had 235 40 18 General Exclaim UHPs on my 18inch wheels for 2 summer seasons now (41,000km) and I live in Toronto with REALLY bad roads and I have not had any curbing issues...I dont think the sidewall is soft at all. The tires are very good for the price in both wet and dry but they treadlife is horrible. Mine will have to be replaced in the next 2 months.

UHP are awesome. I had them for a while, and when it was time for another set I wrote the company for sponsorship and got it. I would say A++++ on those tires
