Change the game: what about a painted lip?

By now we're all familiar with wheels with painted spokes. What about flippin' it and paint the lip and leave the spokes polished or chromed? What do ya'll think? Sounds ooogly?

Imagine a setup like this but with the lip painted black. I think it would look sick because it gives the illusion that the lip isn't there; you would see nothin' but spokes. If I had the means I would try it.

Or this setup with a white lip. It drives me crazy to have the idea but not the means.

I currently have black rims with polished lip and have been thinking something along those lines also. I was thinking about leaving the rim black and color matching the Pebble Biege just on the lip....but I feel ya...different,yes but will I like it?
