I'm going to trade in my PZero Neros. What would be the best and reasonably priced rubber out there? Still deciding on whether to stick with my 17x8 Momos or upgrade to 19's.
Blackcat, how come your getting rid of your pzero neros?
I did some researching through old postings and found my problem: worn wheel bearing on the front drivers side. The PZeros are actually okay but I'm getting tired of the Momo rims now.
Dude I just recently bought some new BF Goodrich g-Force Sport 245/40/18.$156.00/each and I LOVE them. This were mounted on my 18x8 Sport Editon replica of the Mille Miglia Evo 5. After 6 months of research according to the Info.and ratings Brigestone Pontenza RE960 As POLE $193.00/each were the best choice for me with very minimal road noise. The problem was that I had to pay for shipping and still wait for arrival. I stop by Discount Tire in my city after and hour of talking and debating they convince me to take the BF Goodrich g-Force Sport.They promise me that these tires were excellent in grip/wet and still quite and that I wasn't going to regret it.So I finally bought them they got balanced and mounted .I know we all hear alot Positive/Negative Info. about tires from different members here in Maxima Org.but let me tell you these tires are the best tires I have ever owned there are Z rated and have a thread wear of 340. Still waiting for some rain for the first wet test drive, but for now I am very pleased on how these grip like a mother @#%! on dry road I am 31 yrs old and I really dont like to abuse my car but maybe just ones or twice just to put it to the test.When I drove on the freeway they were more quite than my stockers 17" Pontenza very amazed even with Z rated I drove at speed of 135 Mph for a test WOW! very Quite. With a beautiful track on the tire I will recommend to anybody that is looking for a High Performance QUITE tire BF Goodrich g-Force Sport is the one. I will be posting up some pictures this week. I wouldn't recommend anything from BFG for quietness. They handle really well, but loud as crap. +1 on the Nitto 555s, that's what I've got on right now and they are really quiet and stick pretty well. They're probably game over in the snow, but pretty good in the wet.
Yoko AVS ES100 are the farthest thing from quiet. The 452's are a quiet tire however i couldnt tell you how they perform in the snow (being i live in FL). You can also try Yokohama AS430's i've read they are overall a good all around tire but again i cant tell in snow weather.
If you can do summer tires, then it's gotta be the Falken FK452. If you need all-seasons, I'm not sure. I always kick and scream about the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position because it's probably the best all-season tire ever, and it's definitely quieter than most of its peers, but I don't know enough to tell whether it's the quietest.
Kumhos were okay. Good wet/dry. Fairly quiet. BUT any HINT of snow and it's deathwish 2000 x infinity!

But yeah you're right about that, I didnt consider the global nature of this thread. I've seen snow here a few times, but its crazy to drive in no matter what tires are on, because the other drivers here dont know how to behave in the snow... aside from throwing snowballs.
My personal experience was with the Ecsta KH11, I had those on my stock 15x6.5 wheels. Soon planning to buy Solus KH16 for the 350z (17x7.5) wheels I got recently. I'll post back with my opinion on those after I put a few hundred miles on them.

If they are anything like the 451's then they are gunna be loud.

ive got a set of 555s on a set of rims, quiet tire imo, but i cant stand them from a preformance standpoint. they dont communicate as well as my dunlops, or even my craptenzas
I'm surprised no one has thrown out Toyos in this talk T1-R or Proxess 4's. Or BFG KDW, Goodyear eagle F1's are a nice tire but pricey. I'm shopping around right now for a good dry/wet tire for stock wheels possibly upgrading to some lighter 18's and those tires are on my list along with yoko avid v4s (not as quiet but great for price) if you are willing to pay more michelin pilot sport a/s is real quiet but once again going to be most likely your most expensive option.
