Terrible inside wear on Kumho ASX

Terrible inside wear on Kumho ASX
I'm lowered on KYB AGX/Maxspeeds and my first set of tires lowered were Nitto NT555s and they lasted 34k, which was pretty good I thought. These Kumhos are at 22k and they're toast, inside fronts are worn to the steel and yes, I rotate regularly. They think it's an alignment issue, but I'm worried it's a camber issue. Car drives straight as an arrow, last had an alignment when I lowered, which is admittedly 4 years ago. Good plan or no?
I'm thinking about going Nitto Neogens this time. I hate the Kumhos, terrible dry traction, hear the squeal when I make any tight turn, and with a 420 treadwear they're a joke.

My Kumho's did not last me long either, probably around the same mileage as you and I was not even lowered at the time! Kumho's wore out unevenly more so inside and just like you I religiously used to rotate them and keep the alignment in spec! Had the Nitto 555's and they lasted closed to 40K, 2 of them can probably go another 10k-12k but I'm just getting all new tires! Trying out the General Exclaim UHP's, heard good reviews for an inexpensive tire!

I'm definitely getting an alignment. Can most places adjust camber enough to make any difference? I don't want to waste the cash for them to tell me things are almost perfectly 'in spec' like they usually do. I could replace the front 2, but they're pushing the Neogens for some reason... Thoughts?

If you haven't had an alignment in four years, I'm goign to almost guarantee that's the big part of your problem.
Get a new pair of tires up front and then get an alignment. You can't fix the alignment issue until you've got good tires on the alignment rack, and you can't tell ANYTHING from tire wear with an alignment that old. you just simply don't know where anything is.
what's your toe setting? camber? caster?
how evenly are the tires wearing across the tread? just the inside inch, or is it worn incrementally all the way across the tread? (i.e. hold the tire at an angle to the road and scrub off all the way across it).
FYI, I had a set of Kumho ASXs on my car for several years and got 30k on them, even with a pretty aggressive track alignment and driving it like a race car on the street. I even took them to the track when I flatspotted my slicks, and I was within 2 seconds of my slicks time on a 2 minute course. just because they make noise doesn't mean they suck.

I don't know what the current settings are, but I'll find out real soon, alignment on the way. The wear is the inside inch, seems to have happened mostly over the last 7500 miles, wear was relatively even before that.
The noise isn't the main concern, I've been able to feel the rears break loose much sooner than the 555s did, with the identical settings on the rear suspension. I've never had much luck with Kumhos, tried the 712s on another car and traded up. Live and learn, no big thing. No tire lasts forever

Here's an update, had an alignment done and the car was virtually perfect on the rack. Took the guy out and showed him my tire wear and he proceeded to tell me the tale of Kumho tires. He sold tires across the street where I bought mine until a few years ago. He said the wear on mine isn't atypical and I should go back to Nitto, if not spending more for premium tires. He told me to confront the manager and request a healthy discount as the tires are separating at the edge prematurely. I used to buy the road hazzards (After the Dukes, I refuse to spell hazzard with one Z) on tires, but never got to cash in on anything, first time I don't and it burns me. Savages.

my freind had a set on his vette. His were gone within 5K miles...well they would have lasted longer, but when he saw the camber wear he got new tires and burned these ones off.
Ive had good luck with my Hankook ventus v4's (v4 es 105) cheap, good all seasons.
