Yea the wheels should be at my Dads shop on thursday. I am going to go down on friday and then put the wheels and tires on the car and if I don't like the look, here come H&R's with illuminias. I will take pics of the wheels with the stock ride height and everything for comparisons and everything.
I just mount 18X8 G35s that I won on eBay for $400, with 235/45 RSAs on my wifes 2k2 SE. Like the look! No rubbing but had some fitment problems with the rear caps. Any suggestions?
i've been on a rampage to find these wheels. i'm just so glad this thread was started. hopefully within the next couple of months i can find the 17" sized wheels.

yes, the rear dust cap edges must be bashed in some, using a hammer, all the way around for the center cap to fit.
has anyone picked up the g35 replicas that you can find on eBay that are suppose to be "Manufactured in a original equipment plant"? I'm thinking of getting a set for my brother for Xmas, opinions?
the manufacturing is probably of no less quality as say Rota, Tenzo, Excel, ADR and all the other wheels you find on the pages of any car mag.
He isn't taking it through the riggers of autoX, road racing, or even down the strip. He just wants something other than his ugly *** GLE alloys for his day to day commute.
well they say oem specifications, but guess what , they arent. 18x7.5 well fyi the oem spec is 18x8. go ahead and buy them i dont care. but i wouldnt and thats just me.

the fact that they are NOT the same size as the REAL G35 18's tells me that they didn't come out of the "same plant."
Besides, you can get the real ones almost as cheap on the G35 forums.....
That said, I had a replica SE wheel on my car when I bent one of my OEM's and it worked out fine. With knock-off wheels it's always buyer beware, but I prefer the peace of mind provided by having the real thing.
They are .5" thinner. 7.5" is not very wide for an aftermarket wheel.
They are not oem
They are not that great of a deal. Why? Even some cheapo 18" tires will run you $500 easy. Now you are looking at $1,000+ for fakes and cheap tires.
Buying some slightly used REAL G35 18s with the OEM Michelin Pilot Sports that retail for $250+ each. They are going for $800-$1,000
But go ahead and buy the fakies for $400-ish. Just looking at that $400 price is not a good way of getting a good deal.

i wanted to know im purchasing the 18 inch g35 rims but the center wheel cap of the infinity emblem how and where can i purchase some other caps to replace those
Does the wheels being staggered on the g35 18's effect the driveabilty of the car in anyway? How can you tell if rims are oem or replicas?
THE WHEELS ARE NOT STAGGERED!!!! All 4 are 18x8 with 30mm offset....identical.
On the G35, they use different TIRES front and back (225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear)....you should get different tires if you get the wheels....get all 4 235/40/18 for correct fit.

Does no one have pics of the 18" g35 coupe wheels on a 4th gen ? I would really like to see what it looks like.
Also, i tried to find the weight of the 2k max 17" 6 spoke wheel but i couldn't come up with any results. Does anyone know this ? I love the way the 2k wheels look on a lowered 4th gen but i would like to see the 18" g35 wheels on a 4th gen and see the weight difference to see which would be better ya know ?

would 245/40/18 be ok with g35 coupe rims on a 2002 maxima se..would i have any rubbing issues

I bought a set of the G35 18's and was planning on wrapping them in 245/40/18 to put on my 2003, but I want to make sure it will not rub. I am dropped 2" on Ksport coilovers so there is some flexibility there. Is anyone actually running this setup yet?

I'm not saying it's not true...it very well may be true. But just saying that just because some ebay company says it....that doesn't make it true either

There is a very good chance they will rub. In fact, I'd say it's an excellent chance if you are dropped 2" that they WILL DEFINITELY rub. Of course, what tire you choose will also have an effect - some have wider tread width/section widths vs. others.
put 235/40/18 on them, and avoid the hassle of rubbing. That size works well.

The stock 2k wheels are 24.5 lbs. I just went and weighed the one I have left. The other 4 of my original SE wheels are trucking around on a 4th gen right now, the guy I sold them to (Skinnymax)...they look nice

This info should be added to the first post of the sticky. I am looking around for some 18's and thought they were staggered because I keep seeing different tires sizes front/rear. Great info in the thread though!

They SHOULD fit just fine, I believe they are either a 30 or 35 offset. That said, I don't know of any maxima that has them, basically because it is VERY $$ to get them, since they are not "true OEM" wheels, but are actually made by Rays (the guys who make Volks)...so they're lightweight, forged, and expensive. Cheapest I've seen them on ebay is like $2000...for that cost, might as well just GET some volks, or some BBS
