Hi all, I'm looking to get snow tires this winter for my 2K1 SE. I have considered getting full size 225/50/17 tires, but also was looking at possibly getting 16 inch steel rims for winter which would bring the tire cost down a little. A dealer(not Nissan) suggested 215/55/16 tires on a 16 inch rim and said this would be a good fit. I have heard though from other sources that if getting a steel rim, you should get from Nissan directly, as they are better balanced. This other dealer warned that I might get vibrations at around 100 kph if I didn't get the nissan steel rims. Has anyone tried this tire size on 16 inch rims and have any advice? Thanks.
