I have an 18x7.5 rim with 42 offset. I was running a 245/45/18 tire and I know thats way too big. So I ordered some Continental contiextremecontact tires 235/40/18 from an org member and later that night I was looking at Continental's website and saw that that tire is approved for 8-9.5 inch rim widths. Mine is 7.5. I know that a lot of people have ran a 235/40/18 on 7.5 inch rims before and wondered whether this will have any effects at all? Any help is appreciated.

You will be fine w/ 235s. People w/ 7" wide rims run 235s w/out any problems.
