Noob question

The info on the lid of the arm rest console says that I have

P215/55 R16 91H

I know the first three, but the "91H" Is that the load rating or something? What would happen if I replaced with these?

http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?ti...gle+F1+GS%2DD3

If you can't see the link properly, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 - 215/55R16 - VSB

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Cheers

K

"91" is the load rating. You want to stay reasonably close to this, but most people don't worry about it since it only varies so much if you get the right tire size. "H" is the speed rating. Tire shops don't like (or won't let you) go lower than H because speed rating is loosely related to how well a tire handles, and they don't want it to handle worse (liability).

I don't know if VA gets any snow or not, but those tires will work fine. They just are not all-season and will probably wear faster than your old tires because they are very high performance tires.
