Cheap, generic tuner lug nuts

Are cheap no name tuner lug nuts poorly made enough to contribute to stripped studs? Would name brands like McGard and Gorilla make a difference in terms of precision?

Everyone here is screaming McGard/Gorilla. What I want to know is what kind of lug nuts we have? Are they round tapered?

I got some Kryugens (cheap tuner I guess) lightweight and 7 sided (for theft protection). Have had them on and off 4 times for rotations. I dont use my air gun though and always torque to 78ft lb. No problems and they look good.

America's Tire hooked me up with new small diameter Gorilla tuner lugs for $20 when I got my new tires.
