Rims opinion (Rota Subzero)

So I'm finally thinking about getting some rims..

I want to get Rota Subzeros or a similar style..

Here's a pic of them on a Maxima, but for some reason the 17's look a little small.

So my question is, should i get 17's or 18's, and should I get Silver or Gun Metal color. BTW my Maxima is black, see below for current pics. Any feedback is appreciated.

Also, if you know any other rims that are a similar style, post a pic!

I thought about the same set of rims, hey you can't beat $600 for a set of 18's, relatively light weight to boot ( compared to inexpensive 18" rims ). I wanted to get these rims ever since i saw them. Since your car is black ( what my color max is going to be :-D ) my suggestion would be get 18" black with polished lip ( what i'm getting :-D ).

yea 600 plus the tires themselves.. its gonna be about 900 total I think. Also, I kinda want a decent ride quality, so if anyone knows if theres a big difference between 18's and 17's, i'd like to hear it.

If you get the subzeros, make sure you get 18's, I think the polished lip makes the wheels look a little smaller than they really are. You can look at my webpage for a few pics.

or maybe i should get these, since I don't really like how the spokes curve inwards at the ends on the Subzeros

(these are Enkei RSF-2's) More opinions please!

235/40/18. It all depends on what you're looking for. I went with the subzeros because I got them for an amazing deal (under $500 shipped), and they're really lightweight.

I'm almost anti-Subzeros....too many people have them on maxes...but either rim looks good...go with the enkei...just a tad different but it works

your max is black. paint is dark. general bullsh!@t rule of thumb axiom: dark needs light. go with silver. light needs dark. go with gunmetal. stay 17" for 4th gen. 18s getting too big, tires get too thin. got potential dork-factor. but not always. rules are meant to be totally ignored.

so go get your wheels, bro.

btw, you score points because you went with 5-spoke right away. stay odd numbered. 5 or 7 spoke. and you get more points for split 5-spoke - the top look for 4th gen. jus like R33 Skyline stockies.

but do what looks good for you. they are your wheels. you have to live with them every day.

I've said it before -- any wheel with a lip looks 1" smaller than its size. So, I say get the 18's (I can only assume you are getting these mostly for cosmetic purposes). If you really need to maintain a softer ride, then get 17's but try and find a rim without a lip.

i like the full polished version. great wheels for the $$$!

I like 18s as well, 225 40 18 are cheap and lots of choices but 225 45 are closer to the stock size but more expensive.
