My HX35 build

Hey whats going on guys, so after having an NA setup, a nitrous setup, and a supercharger i felt my next move was to go for the turbocharger. i ended up selling my superchargered i30t that got hit and making out on it(from the insurance check and the sale of the car), so i decided it was time for something good, i found a 98 5speed KH3 loaded 155k at a used car dealer for cheap money, they tried to fix an intermittent starting problem with a new clutch, flywheel, crank sensors, cam sensor, ignition switch, and finally gave up, after looking the car over for 5 minutes i knew it was bad grounds. sure enough it was, and the new project began, other than the grounds, ive replaced the starter, coolant temp sensor, and dreadfully the radiator core support.the turbo is not installed yet, nor is the 00vi or clutch, but i wanted to get some opinions and feedback from you guys think about my setup. my main concerns are...
my goal is ROUGHLY 350-400whp at 9psi, i was reading and found that at 400hp, i will be running 440cc injectors at almost maximum injector duty cycle. so i opted to go for the 600cc.since my jwt ecu is tuned for 370cc injectors, will i beable to lean out the huge injectors with an safc?

ive been looking at some dsm forums and guys are saying for an HX35 they run 4an SS line for a feed line and 10an line for a return, with a restrictor so the turbo doesnt see too much pressure. does anyone know where i would get the right fittings/lines to properly oil the turbo. my idea was to get a T fitting and get oil pressure from the oil pressure sender, and run a return line back down to the oil pan. but im having trouble sourcing all these....ebay has some oil lines but idk about the quality......any direction is appreciated

heres the goodies

rebuilt holset hx35w
custom feedpipe and downpipe made by kzoosho, ceramic painted and header wrapped
3" intercooler piping
32x12x3 intercooler
z32 maf
600cc deatswerks injectors
00vi with vias BOP
JWT ecu turbo tune for z32 maf, 370cc injectors
safc(still need one)
hks ssqv on 3" flange
38mm wastegate
walbro 255lph
z32 fuel filter
fidanza flywheel
ACT XTSS

ill post pics once i start the project

If you don't have a turbo lined up yet I have a holset hx35w for sale with only 44k miles on it.

Man, Ive been brewing up a similar junkyard setup. Still debating on RMT or front mount. Ill have to pm kzoosho or other members about pricing.

Only thing id suggest is a WB and a EB\EU and sell jwt. With the safc you will be able to subtract but i belive you will add timing when taking a way fuel(someone correct me if im wrong)

I got my fittings and oil lines from stealthmodeperformance.com,
I got the universal oil line kit and the block fitting since I teed out from the oil pressure switch. The restrictor I got from atpturbo.com. The lines you maybe able to get cheaper piecing it out somewhere else, I just went with them since they had the block fitting.

akurtzer57 - thanks but i already have a freshly rebuilt turbo

maxgtr2000- thanks for the leads, im gunna check those out, does the kit come with enough line to reach a front mounted turbo(battery location)

productofkorea- yeah ive read about the safc doing that, which does concern me, but itll be much easier to tune a safc then an EU, and i already have most of it

is anyone out there leaning out big injectors safely with a safc?? i know the EU is the better way to go, but tuning and time is a factor

maxgtr2000- stealthmodeperformance kit looks great, but its giving me a few options for turbo size, does anyone know the inlet thread size and the center to center drain flange measurement for an hx35w??

**** one guy is making over 400hp and has been boosted for years but his setup doesn't make a ton of power down low and is alittle laggy which helps cause he is not making peak tq the sametime the ecu is set for peak timing

My line barely reaches but it does, you could also go with oil filter sandwich plate then it will reach for sure, You may want to measure from the turbo to the oil pan and/or to the op switch to make sure you have enough drain and feed, they maybe able to hook you up if you just need a couple more inches. I think safc is a good choice with jwt since you can make some corrections even though they(JWT) don't like that.

Will JWT retune to the ECU for the 600cc? Are you doing the install? I am not sure about the quality of the oil lines on ebay, but I would imagine that they would be fine. I want to see your setup when you are all done with it.

so i just go off the phone with JWT, i decided that im gunna have them retune my ecu for my 600cc injectors, im also gunna have them flow test my new injectors to make sure theyre actually flowing enough fuel and not having some flow more than others. all for 130 bucks!! the safc2 alone is gunna cost more than that....im gunna get an safc2 anyways, but itll cut down on the dyno tuning time.

fyi, jwt tells everyone the injectors needs to be tested by them if they are not nismo, msd, rc or purchased from them. I listen to them but not blindly. I purchased my injectors brand new from dw with flow sheets and they still wanted to test them.

also you're going to need a safc2 to fine tune the a/f always and if you do send it back ask them for a 100octane fuel map and not the crappy 10degree's of timing they normally give people

i bought mine brand new from them as well, but they are re manufactured injectors(drilled out)....and for 30 bucks its not a bad idea, plus 100 to remap it for the 600cc injectors it seemed like a good insurance policy lol. i told them to map it for 93 octane, will the 100 octane tune work with 93?

good insurance against what? so your telling me you bought brand new injectors that were drilled out and never tested or matched as a set. that is crazy, so what is jwt going to do if they don't match fix or replace them, I highly doubt it. the whole of buying new injectors is cause they shuld have been tested, matched and come with flow charts as proof.

yes the 100octane map will work just fine on 93gas your telling them that cause their standard tune is weak and you'll make about 40-60hp less than someone else with the same setup and a eu or 100map and safc2.

i dont know how i feel about why they wanted to check them, they were pretty adamant about it though, he was telling me about seeing drilled out injectors with burrs and poor drill holes that mess up the spray pattern, which doesnt seem too far fetched. but then again i feel like i paid 530 bucks for injectors, they should be good to go, but for an extra 30 bucks, im not gunna lose sleep over it...but i am gunna call them tomorrow and tell them i want the 100 octane tune...

I think I read about on the 350z forums awhile back they don't care for DW and DW doesn't care for them, they both accuse each other of being lazy.
