What spark plug to use?

I searched and found some info but not a very clear answer. So, I called JWT and got an answer. They said to use a Platinum or Iridium plug and gap it to 0.025. Heat range of 6 only since a 7 would not work well go lots of stop and go driving. Is this what you guys are running? Need pros and cons. Suggestions as well. Thanks.

Ferhan

Anything NGK, Maxima's dont seem to like anything but NGK. So again dont stick anything in your motor unless it says ngk on it

You would probably want to run one step colder than stock as well.

I've used BKR6E, BKR7E, and BKR6EIX. All worked fine. Gap them as large as you can without getting spark blowout.

Now I have a question that goes hand in hand with the topic, which plugs are ideal. Copper or Iridium? Over at the Z FI forums I find copper to be most commonly used. Is there any benefit in using Iridium other than longer life. More power maybe?

Iridiums will last longer but the coppers conduct spark voltage better. The only thing is the coppers don't last as long. If you keep up on changing plugs then coppers would be good. I was thinking about getting iridiums and do the "99greymax mod" by upping the voltage to the coil packs. I'm on ngk bkr6e coppers right now.
