Boost control and Tial WG
Ok, so basically there are two methods:
the following is assumin the controller bleeds off pressure reducing the pressure going into the WG
Method 1:
Boost source-->Into boost controller-->then into side of WG
Method 2(which is what the Tial manual says):
Boost source-->into a T-->into boost controller-->then into top port of WG
the other leg of the T goes into the side port
In method 2, pressure is being applied by both sides of the diaphragm, but since there is a boost controller on the line that goes to the top port, this means the top will be providing less pressure than the bottom (side port), allowing the WG to close more and increase boost.
example: 10psi pushing from bottom opening the WG at spring pressure, but 2psi pushing from top, in theory this will increase boost to ~12psi, if top and bottom would have equal pressure, the WG would not open and turbo will provide its max boost.
Now considering these two methods, which is the best and will provide the most steady boost possible?
