You should have waited to send it off, just because there is oil in those areas doesn't mean the seals are bad. I had oil as well but if the oil drain doesn't drain properly then the seals will leak. I was close to getting another turbo or get it rebuilt until I checked my oil drain and the hose was too long not allowing proper flow when going down a slight hill, it wouldcause the oil to back up and it would smoke a little. Shortened the drain for a more direct flow and no more oil. Some oil in the inlet is normal. Also if you are running a turbo with no restrictor it may have light oil seeping, it's all normal, especially since under boost the turbo can see around 90 psi of oil pressure.

Gotten the starting issue fixed yet?

If you neglected to actually line up the flywheel to the crank, then that's more than likely your problem. You have a one in 8 chance of getting it correct.

if you were looking in the FSM for torque specs, or at the Fidanza install instructions, they all clearly say that the timing ring is indexed.

In my last conversation with Nick he said that he did get everything straightened out and the car up and running. The turbo I sent him was leaking oil so it needed to be repaired so that put things on hold. I will let him tell you all the details.

It is at my buddies shop (he use to work for Infiniti) he is a close friend and does great work, I did not feel like tearing it all down again so he is doing it. I did not line up flywheel index mark with crank I just put it on without thinking so yes that is my problem 99.9% believe. A few little things here and there they are taking care of also, installing poly mounts for me, a steel braided line for oil return, and redoing my grounds for me so it will come out cherry

Yes unfortunately turbo had bad seals (not your fault) so I had to send it off to get rebuilt along with tons of other unexpected expenses

I know what you are saying, but once you are done it will be worth it. O and there is no way I am going to charge you for the turbo seeing as it was no good. Hope that helps out a little.

Thats is perfectly fine. I do not mind waiting. I feel terrible that things did not go as smoothly as expected. I cannot wait to see what the car does when finished.

I wish there was more people who were like this on the org! Stand behind what they sell! Could have very easily told you SOL, sold as is or whatever!

Anyways good progress on the build. I soon learned the lesson you did, never is it a straight bolt on, nothing for me was easy either, little things such as chasing threads on the oil pressure tee, modyfying little things, intercooler piping not lining up right etc. Sucks but it will be worth it.

Cant wait to see it finished!

mental note.. I hear you are looking for injectors.. you can use ford top feed injectors that are high impedence if you want you just need to get connectors with them or from a junk yard and you also have to shim the fuel line up.. I am using 2003 ford mustang corba injectors roughly 410CC with my 3.4 4th jen turbo and they work good.. the 4 points where the fuel rail bolts down I used 3 of them plastic washers vs stock whitch is only one to shim it up. I have been running it now for a whyle with thoes injectors and they work good.. you may need more fuel then just go bigger there are just ton out there and about 1/2 the price as the ones that are direct fit! I paid 80$ for 8 of fthem used.. from a running car.

Probably due to the rash of negative feedback threads started about him lately.

i tryed to create a thread about this, but it wont let me. most likely cause i'm a new user but anyways... i bought his old turbo off him. the t3 60-1 and i paid him 490 shipped. he has told me twice he is going to send it off the night day. I asked him to please get a tracking number. Havent heard anything. I have to send him like 5 PMs a day and i still dont hear anything. This is the worst trasction i have ever had. There is already two threads about him on here and another guy i was talking to that is having the same problems. I just want an answer, if he going to ship out the turbo or not. 500 bucks is alot of money to mess around. I know it looks like i'm a noob. But i have like 2000 posts on clubintegra.com. go check, i have the same username. Just trying to finish my turbo build and this guy is trying to steal my money or just not smart at all.

Just looking at the pictures and doing some research the maf should be mounted as close to the throttle body as possible. I was talking to a few people about it. I was told if you don't do this when the bov releases the pressure in the system your maf will say its getting all this air and give the motor too much fuel; resulting in a rough idle until the pressure in the system equals back out.

If the BOV is mounted before the MAF, it doesn't really matter (as long as it's not directly next to it).

If you have the BOV mounted after the MAF, then yes, you'll get a rich spike, which can cause some temporary issues.

Maf is located on the non-charged side, before turbo in my fender, air that goes back to turbo after throttle is closed (bov goes off to release pressure to prevent compressor surge), and it does not effect my MAF at all, until my car hits boost you would actually think my car is NA until you hear the turbo spooling of course haha. We are still tuning it and are still on the 5 pound Tial wastegate spring, will bump it up to a 10 pound with a boost controller soon. The only problem I am having as of right now is it seems to sputter at around 2500-3000 rpms under medium load like the AFR's start freaking out it is wierd!

Ouch... guess you guys are funding the extra costs of the turbo project that weren't expected.

So if all that is being said about ser_altima is true, why hasnt he been banned yet?
I havent seen ser_altima respond to any of the accusations yet?
If what everyone says is true, he shouldnt be allowed to continously post asking for info and then scamming other memebrs on the side.
Any repsonse ser_altima?

Fixed for errors also Flav

I agree. Regardless of whats going on he should either ship or refund. There is no reason to sell it to more than one person and no one has the turbo

Thread closed until ser_altima takes care of his pending business transactions.

ser_altima, you owe peope either parts, or their money back. I do not want to see any further posting from you until these matters are properly taken care of. Failure to comply or follow through is going to quickly result in a permanent banning from this website.

Until then, I HIGHLY recommend no one else does business with ser_altima.

Once you complete your transactions, this thread will be unlocked and my comments deleted, until, it is stuck up top for everyone to see.
