Bah, blower rebuild possibly in the future

I've began noticing that my blower is possibly seeping a little bit of oil between the seam on the gear housing. There is a sort of oily residue. It's very light. My guess is the gasket for the housing could be going bad. Anyone have idea's on prices for a rebuild? I'm likely to call Vortech up sometime during the week to get a quote. The car originally had a V1 kit, was replaced with the V2 charger about 5 years ago. Maybe it's time? I dunno.

Price varies, but it sounds like you need a minor rebuild. Expect anywhere from $200 to $300.

It was $326 for a minor rebuild (Bearings and Seals) when I got my original blower rebuilt like 4 years ago. I assume it went up since then.

Yup, I paid 3-something less than a year ago.

86, this is your opportunity to look into the new Si trim. There has been discussion on here but I don't think anyone has looked into it. Apparently it is also $300-something to upgrade to an Si trim. Per Vortech, the efficiency is the highest of all V2 trims. If you look into it, please share with us your findings. Thanks.
