Emanage Blue Question

Ok well i have searched and searched but i cant find out why the emanage says to tap the injector wires and not intercept them. Am i going to be doing it right just tapping them or do i need to intercept. Also does any one know the pins to use? All i keep coming up with is ultimate wiring. Any help would be great i would like to get this thing tuned better.

The reason they're tapped and not intercepted is because the EB can't remove fuel directly using the injector lines, it can only add fuel by extending the pulse time. To take out fuel the airflow map must be used.

Which pins are you talking about, on the EB or on the ECU? Because the ECU injector pins are the same.

just curious are diodes still needed for the EB on the 4gs? always heard mixed answers, melted coil packs, some not. never knew a solid answer.

For what it costs I'd put them in.

I think the latest blue update was supposed to fix it but I would run diodes to be safe. I had the ignition harness but a pin got damaged when I was installing it and the weak connection caused the car to misfire but I had diodes on mine. The way to test it is to run the car with the a/c on and feel the coil packs, if they are getting warm then you need diodes. According to this I think it was version 1.36 firmware that had the fix. Firmware Upgrade fix list.
