THE FIRST??
just thought that i would pave the way properly with an early model maxima and be the first to rock tha setup...
it is my DD but im still working out the exaust routing, more stuff to come.
i know that ppl are gonna ask...its a vg30e in a 2nd gen maxima.
tuning: the 300zx turbo motor ecu soon to be nistuned with 337cc injectors
gonna also see how she runs with 2 300zx t25's instead of 2 large t3s
runs like a byiotch 3K + (havent really seen where it stops dont want anything to go boom.)
exaust 2 inch from each turbo leading to a 2.5 inch all the way out unrestricted thinking of 3 later after i test the t25's
THIS SETUP WILL CHANGE!!!!

Very, very cool. Saw your post in the other TT thread. Couple of questions:
-Why is the intake piping routed the whole way to the other side of the engine bay? Wouldn't that just give it more of a chance to get heat soaked?
-Is this a VG30E or VG30ET?
Also, I suggest wrapping all the exhaust piping in the engine bay

I must say, very nice job on the setup. Very clean and effective.
I agree about the intake piping though, it seems this way you're pulling in a lot of hot air to begin with. It's a lot easier to cool cold air vs hot air. And will prevent a lot of detonation problems.
And +1 on wrapping the exhaust piping. It will keep a ton of heat down! I know from experience...I used to boil my power steering fluid before I wrapped mine

it started out as the vg30et then i threw a rod, forgot to tighten no. 4 piston cap and it flew out. then i had a friend with a w serie motor and was like theyre better than the reg vg30e so i threw it in with the turbo heads and a 200sx manifold. ive tried every vg30e manifold except for the pathy one and i like this one the best.
as i said before the setup will change, im gonna reroute the exaust manifold pipes so thats its 2 pipes that lead into one instead of one leading to another.
as for the intake im gonna run 2 filters and relocate the maf, gonna buy spares because i might need them.

this would have been such a fantastic car if it was RWD(it still is as FWD, but you get the point)... Guess the G is how we wished the max would be.

Nice looking setup man, congrats. As far as the intake, the intercooler really does alot so the pipe running across the engine bay isn't all that different from some maxima turbo setups. Mine runs across the engine bay but the ic takes care of the heat.

Very unique platform to choose. The car will definately surprise a lot of people. When are you taking it to the track?
