New member of the supercharged club.

Finally after some time planning and getting all the parts my supercharger is installed and up and running!

My setup:
V2 blower
Matty's V1 plate
Stillen pipes
Auxilary fuel pump and FMU
Zeitronix wideband o2
Vafc2
2.5inch mandrel custom magnaflow exhaust
Ebay headers.

car is running strong but i have some idle issues.
When the car is cold, it idles PERFECT 650rpm.

BUT, when it gets hot after driving it no longer wants to idle, i can let go of the gas pedal and the car will still keep on going like cruise control.

when i come to a stop the idle will idle at 2200-3000RPM !?

also some times while stopped the rpm's will fluctuate between 1200-1700 up and down, up and down....

any suggestions?

here are some pics of my setup:

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Its the factory style ones, i only installed the front header though... I wanted to get rid of the horrid front precat.
I will not recommend these headers, yes they are cheap, but the ypipe was a ***** to put on! didnt align at all.

its a 3.33 pulley, and i am hoping for 290-300hp, lets see what i hit once its properly tuned with the zeitronix wideband and Vafc2

Yeah i was thinking about that, there are a million vacum hoses there, ill have to sort through them...

But its wierd, because it will only idle high when im in the city or in traffic, only when it gets really hot in the engine bay. when im on the highway its perfect.

Good luck with it man. Take it easy till you figure out the idle issues.
car runs fine, except the idle problem, i have a wideband and im always keeping an eye on the AFR's

It is probably ur blow off valve or a vacuum leak! keep ur eyes on ur boost gauge when it starts to trip and u'll be able to tell maybe if thats the problem, u can look at the maf readings on the afc and see if they spike as well! if its going lean on an a/f its bad and you should figure it out!

Update:

I solved the high idle problem, it turned out to be an overtight throttle cable, i loosened it up some at the throttle body and high idle went away.

Right now i am considering to upgrade the piping to 3" pipes with a CAI for the blower. plus relocate the MAF to the charged side.

I think this will let the blower breath better, as right now i just installed my boost sensor and i am hitting a peak of 8.7PSI at redline, in third gear.

plus i am currently looking for a stock WRX STI muffler, i believe its 2.5" inlet so it will flow better than the stock 5th gen muffler i have now.

I posted a WTB in clubwrx.com but so far no success, if any one knows where i can buy one cheap let me know.
