Very Dissapointed ......

So I finally get the emanage in and the car feels great, a/f is great went to the dyno to get the car dynoed. Now previously on 7.2 lbs i made 360whp and 349ft/trq. Yesterday I dynoed my car on 12PSI ON STOCK ECU!!!!!!!!! It was an accident and I upped the ebc too much, thank god nothing blew. But anyways at 12lbs i only made 350whp, thats 10 whp less then i made on 7.2 lbs!!!!!!! I need to check my compression tomorrow and see whats up with that, and if its not the engine, then its gotta be the turbo, since it is blowing out oil from the comp side. Also, i noticed that after the first pull on the dyno I looked at the turbine wheel and it wasnt moving in nuetral, usually it moves a little because theres still some exhaust gasses going out. Im stumped for now, gotta figure out what is going on, this sucks ***.

no this was on stock timing thats why i said im surprised i didnt blow my engine lol, but the numbers arent what they are supposed to be, on 12lbs i shoulda hit over 400 and if not be very very close to it.

I think you just need to run more boost, that should fix your problem

Anyway, I looked around at home for the compression tester and I dont have it.

Did you dyno at the same location? every dyno shop has different settings, such as elevation, the higher the elevation the higher the hp, etc.... also at 7.5psi 360whp? that dosnt sound right. Or maybe your turbo is not efficient at 12psi and better at lower boost? *shrug*

From the sound of it, your turbo maybe the problem. The turbine should spin freely even with a little bit of exhaust pressure, oil being blown out of the compressor side doesn't sound too good at all. Like you said a compression check wouldn't hurt, it will tell at least the condition of your motor. You can pick up a tester for like $20 from autozone I think. BTW is your turbo a BB? maybe you can get it rebuild or time for an upgrade?

yeah same place same dyno machine

streetz:I did 3 pulls and they were all 355-360whp on 7.2 lbs, my turbo is efficinet for like 30 lbs lol and 650hp, so the turbo isnt dying in that sense. I got a compression tester today will check it, if its not the motor time for a turbo rebuild.

What sucks about 350whp and 349lb/ft of torque??? Of course, this question is coming from a 6th Gen.

Well basically what sucks is this, imagine making 360whp with a 75shot of nitrous, and then putting a 150shot of nitrous and making 350whp.

I guess you didn't get it. Not one 6th Gen on this board has over 300whp. 350whp would be a gift from the gods to us.

oh nah, i got you. but ur saying that what is it that sucks about getting 350whp. and i said that the reason it sucks its because he made more power with less boost. ofcourse its better than any 6th gen even if its having problems lol.
