Fuel Delivery Setup question.

If running the 255LPH Walbro fuel pump with 370cc injectors and Z32 MAF hooked into a SAFC II, would both an AFPR and FMU be needed (or a SFMU)?

Or, would just a FMU be needed- (I read from another post that the ECU can compensate and give a stoich mixture at an acceptable pressure).

Or do you suggest just playing it safe and getting a SFMU to cover both ends of the spectrum and avoid any potential problems and possibly open up some fine tuning options?

(anyone have an idea what WHP this setup would be good to?)

You most definitely need a fmu. afpr would be suggested.

it would be safe to around 340 hp.

Im too tired to find the formula to find injector duty cycle and wheel horsepower.

I thought an AFPR would be required. Wouldn't it run extremely rich in cold start and idle. So rich to the point of stalling out?

From what I have read, you should be able to get by w/o an AFPR. The 370's shouldn't give you too much of a problem on cold start. In addition, your probably going to want an FMU because you gonna have to make too large of corrections with just an SAFC. Not good to be adjusting large amounts with an SAFC, try and stay under +/- 10%.

But if your gonna buy an FMU then just get a SFMU then you can adjust base fuel pressure if you need to.

an FMU (fuel management unit) and a SFMU (super fuel management unit) are the same thing except the SFMU is the newer version that does not use disks but an adjustment screw and it can raise/lower base fuel pressure. SFMU is superior but costs alot more

SFMU also adjusts the base FP. Thats why I'm getting it. I don't mind playing around with discs.
