Cutting bumper?

Does it lose all its strength once you mess with it? Like a small bump will push everything in.

The actual bumper cover or the front beam? Of course cutting into the beam will decrease its structural integrity, but a little 5 mph fender bender shouldn't harm you at all. Of course, none of us are willing to test that out lol, as most intercoolers are not very cheap.
