MY Vacumn line question

I was wondering once i get my turbo in, what is the best way to have my boost guage hooked up? I have a vacumn line running to it right now but i have seen that people are running lines from the compressor? Does it need a line from there and will that still show vacumn as well?

run the boost gauge off a source that gets vaccum AND boost...the compressor only sees boost so don't do that. run it off the manifold somewhere(I'm running mine off the brake booster line...and yes theres an in-line check valve so no worries)
