Southeast Louisiana, anyone??

Hey guys,

I know I have most the active members' phone numbers and everything but I'm just posting up to see if any new local members have joined and are interested in meeting the local max crew. It seems like most people have moved on but here's a re-cap of many the local's statuses:

-SPiG is done with totalling maximas and actually will be buying a BMW 330i ZHP this week (congrats!)
-Peter (GodFather) has a 5.5 gen 6-speed
-I still have my 5.5 gen 6-speed
-Jared (96nismomaxi) still has his 5-speed 4th gen as far as I know
-chris'smax sold the max and bought a Z long ago
-Jonathan (ACEEMaxima) has had some unfortunate business with his maxima and it's been in the shop for quite a while. He drives a Toyota Tacoma XRunner now.
-Frosty has had a similar (though perhaps even more severe) bout of bad luck with his 5th gen, but last I heard he still has a VQ35 4th gen

So that leaves us with the new members. Anyone out there looking to meet up?

Alright guys, I'm thinking we should meet up on next Thursday, October 15.

I know it's sort of short notice, but I figure some of ya'll go to that Pep Boys meet anyway that night. We should probably just meet up somewhere we want to eat and hang out in the parking lot like we normally do, but after that I was thinking of taking a drive somewhere to take pictures, maybe to a parking garage or something. Let me know what ya'll think.

I would be down if it was on the weekend ! I just posted a thread about Louisiana Maximas. I dont know how i didnt see this thread. I just moved to DeRidder like 4 months ago.

Well sha come on down to da baton rouge and meet up, meh yah!

I thought of a good photo op, but its in Lake Charles (Westlake) where all the factories light up the sky like daytime... I'm sure we can think of something with maybe downtown BR in the background... maybe we can shut down I 10 west on the mississippi river bridge for a few minutes to park on the top and take a picture with all of downtown in the back at dusk.... yeah, that'll work!

Yeah DeRidder doesnt offer much , lol ! But i had to go where the money was. Its quiet the culture shock coming from the Memphis area.

LA02MAX said that Jan 2006 was the last big meet they had... This will be my first meet, I hope they dont throw me in the garbage can or something to initiate me in the club since I'm the new guy in town!

C'mon you know you want to call in sick for work to be here! Weekends are mostly out for me because all I do is go to the games and work. I could do something this saturday, though, but I'm not sure how many other people could...

Well really and truly that was the last big organized meet we had...most of us here are really close friends and meet up a lot just because. Don't worry, we're not like a frat or anything; no initiation necessary! As long as things are kept at a mature level, we're alright.

You should definitely come down!! I think Jared is coming and he lives on the Northshore (Mandeville). Ya'll can drive together.

Yes, please don't total the bimmer! At least it'll be a bit harder to do so cuz those cars hold their value so well. Hell even my 15 year old bimmer with 200k miles on it wasn't totalled after all the damage I got.

omgsrsly? I'll talk to the chief of police to see if we can get an escort to the top of the bridge, and so they can block it off... thursday @ 7? oknoprob!

and Convergys is behind Cox, I used to work there when I lived downtown...

I'm going to think of some picture ideas... shall I bring the camera?

D@mn , I wish i could make it ! I guess i better hold out til the next time. If yall decide to get together one weekend shoot me a Pm or something. Im not sure how far BR is from DeRidder. I know Lake Charles is like 40 minutes or so from here. Im assuming I-10 goes straight to BR. Anyways, next time, huh !

Unfortunately the meet is about 175 miles from DeRidder which is a pretty far of a drive... at least it would be mostly interstate for you... I hate driving country roads.

What kind of job brought you there?

Hey im not sure if anybodys interested or not but there is a huge Maxima meet in houston . Its the 2nd annual meet. It is the 24th of Oct. Im pretty sure im gonna go if anyone wants to make the ride with me. There gonna be like 30+ Maximas. It gonna be at a park followed by a cruise. Let me know if anyone is interested.

If anyone want to go i cant meet you at the 171 exit on I-10 in Lake Charles.

It starts at like 11ish at the park and goes until whenever , hope you can go. I'll get the specifics and post them !

Alright, you're gonna take I-10 west all the way to baton rouge and get off at bluebonnet. Head south (turning left from the interstate). You will pass the mall on your left then you'll come to a stoplight at a street named ansiemo. Go past that to the next light and turn right into the buffalo wild wings parking lot. If you hit perkins, youve gone to far but you can turn right because it's on the corner of bluebonnet and perkins.
