Best way to get through Atlanta Rush hour traffic

Heres the Deal-e-yo, I'm headed to Charleston SC from Chattanooga TN this evening. I'll be passing through the area around 5 or 6.
Should I:
1. Take 75 S to 285, then to 20E
2. Take 75 S through Downtown and hit 20E
3. Take 75 S through downtown past 20 to 285 on the south side, and take 285 back to 20 E
4. Say F'ck it and get on hotwire and buy a plane ticket.

If that Head Unit in your Signature plays DVDs...bring plenty.

Don't think it's dangerous to watch movies when your not moving....

Seriously though, don't go through downtown...it's bad enough not on a holiday weekend. I say option 1 would be your best bet.

going through ashville takes an hour longer on paper, but it might be worth it if you're gonna sit in ATL traffic for 2 hours

I never got yo digits. That is the route though, although I'm gonna take HWy 1 in Columbia to cut off about 10 to 15 miles, and to stop and get some Crunk Juice.

I plan on getting there around 11 to 11:30ish. I'm rolling in the Cary, so no land speed records. Just slow and consistant. I have a H8erade bottle to pee pee in.

Thats a good call, but I'm currently 45 min south of Chatt, that would end up being a 2 hour addition.

My input is that you need to come to Atlanta and party like a rockstar with yours truly.

to be honest your going to hit traffic no matter which way you go between those hours. if anything id do option 2. most folks live outside the city and you wont hit much traffic headed south into the city except the 75 to 20 merge. then 20 will be slow until you get passed panola.

Whats up pimp!! I havent talked to you since the Ferrari Challenge race at Road Atlanta. Did you ditch the 20" Chromies?
I know at that time of the day 285 clogs up worse than a fat boys veins with high colesteral......... I really don't know where that one came from. Are they still doing construcyion at the 20 85 split in downtown?
I'm seriously thinking about rolling through Camden and Bypassing ATL all togeather, 1 hour longer, and 20 miles more.

Yup, option 2 was the winner, only time I slowed down was where 285 flowed into 20, for about 3 miles. otherwise it was a good trip.
