keep reading...
i think page 2 or 3 they finished their cat back system. redyno and you see the extra 10 hp...so its more like 22hp. but when they did the cat back they added a couple degrees of timing.. only good for about 2-4hp they said.

but they need the cats so its smog legal, most of us can get away with no cat(s) depending on the state your in...

i was watching Jay's Garage (i think it was)
and they had a Nissan rep there that said they made the GTR very hard to mod because the head designer didnt want people screwing with his "perfection"

i meant the catback

or do you only see like 4hp from the catback and it is compounded with removing the cats

whole is greater than the sum of its parts, kinda thing?

perfection? no... a transmission that doesnt break when you launch hard would help achieve perfection

nope. they had seperate dynos. 12hp for test pipes then 10 hp from cat back+ timing.

I bet if they did just the cat back they'd probably get sub 10hp gains..

If there are pre-cats in the headers, then a header back system with test pipes should be killer..

but it would be good if nissan did this from the factory but maybe they needed the car to be at a certain quietness?

with a crappy launch like that sure you wont break the transmission, they barely broke the tires free....I could launch a toyota prius better than the ZeeArrOne Launch Control..

I need it to know that issh so when I stop the gas and it cuts fuel at 3.2k It can launch properly!!
