SFMG(South Florida) Meet - C.B. Smith Park - October 12, 2008

Alright guys, Its been a long time coming since the previous Meet this year, but it is finally here. Our previous meet was held over at Dreher park which turned out to be a our largest meet to date, however, we will be trying our newest Meet at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, FL. Reason being is that, we would like to allow for the southern members to have easier access to this meet while not going to far south to inconvenience our Northern Members. I would just like to say that these events are for everyone, bring your friends and family, we are here to have a good time. This meeting will take place Columbus Day weekend so I am posting this thread more than a month in advance so that everyone can get their days off, or rescheduled.

Food is going to be organized just as previous events. What we are going to do is collect donations and things from people who would like to contribute to the meet, and those donations will then help pay for the supplies we need (plates, utensils, cups, drinks, etc.). This way works way better than to wait for each individual to arrive and sometimes even having to starve while they are on their way. We will hopefully start collecting next Local Max-out meeting for those who attend. I would say a couple bucks would do us fine from each of you. Its not an obligation, but the more that help out the greater the outcome will be.

Rules:
This part is pretty much obvious, no burnouts, no racing, no revving of any kind as this is a public park and their are little children and animals roaming around. Just remember anything can happen, and I would hate for us to be banned from this park for something foolish. Please be sanitary about your trash-- there are trash cans all over for a reason, please use them.

Starting time, I am going to start this at around 12 noon and if things plan out well it will be nightfall by 8-8:30. That should give us plenty of time to construct our usual group photo shoot. This time around I will also like to have a group shot of the people attending as well.

Getting there: From I-95S(North of Ft. Lauderdale) head west on I-595 to I-75 South. Exit on Pines Blvd East. Make a left onto Flamingo Rd and the park entrance is on the left. From the Turnpike North and South, head west on Pines/Hollywood to Flamingo Rd and make a right, the park entrance is on your left hand side. From I-75South and North go east Pines Blvd and make the left on Flamingo Rd and the park is on your left side.

I always feel bad whenever I see you guys organizing a meet, I always want to go. Pembroke Pines isn't too horrible, so let's see what goes down during October. Hope I can finally meet some .org peeps.
