2008 All Florida Maxima Meet - NWP Engineering - WPB, FL - Mar 16th
Ok guys/gals, Its official.. The biggest Florida Maxima meet will be taking place on March 16th 2008 at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach Florida. I have gotten confirmation via NWP Engineering that they will be yet again Sponsoring this upcoming Maxima Meet! The reasoning behind our location change is to provide the opportunity for Northern and Western Floridians to make it out to this meet. This location is only 45mins North of our usual Markham Park location. I would like to thank Colleen(MissMiami) for helping out as much as she can with this meet as its going to be a BIG ONE if you all are up to it. We welcome all 1-6th gens out, we don't discriminate!
[Location]
Dreher Park
561.804.4900 1100 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33405
This large 113 acre Park is right off the I-95 Expressway so missing it can be extra difficult. 95 north or south to southern blvd. (exit 68). Right on Parker ave. Right on Summit Blvd. LEFT into NORTH Dreher park
[Date/Time]
As I mentioned earlier in this post the date for this meet is set for March 16th which is a Sunday. For all those concerned about being at work that day we have scheduled this meet well in advance so you can schedule around it. Being as this meet is in a central location a good portion of the attendees will more than likely not be able to make it at our Normal 12 noon time so try to get their as earlier as you can to fully enjoy the day. I really hope to see you all out there, and if you cant make it I for sure will be taking pictures.
[Donations]
With all of our meets we highly encourage you all to donate, and with that said this meet is no different. To better everyones experience we will be registering a pavilion with tables and shading so please be generous as these things come at a price as does the food and supplies we will be needing for such an event. The Pavilion should be registered for shortly, we are still trying to get a hold of the park organizer to complete the process. Please send your donations to luke@vqpower.com via Paypal making sure to highlight your user name for recognition post-meet.
================================================== ==============================
Those who have donated are eligible for an NWP Engineering Drawing with items that will be disclosed later

For those coming in from out of town and who plan to stay the weekend, I have sourced a Holiday Inn which is less than 5 miles from the Park.
Holiday Inn
1301 Belvedere Rd
West Palm Beach, FL 33405

[Standard Rules]
If you haven't been do a Park before I will just like to give you a slight description of one. Children at Play, Peaceful, Safe.. Try to be on your best behavior once you enter the park which means: no speeding, loud music and/or engine revving. We all know what a car sounds like please don't over exaggerate.
Various Awards will be handed out for specially designated categories which will only be revealed on the day of the meet. Please be sure to stay for that.
If I have left anything out or something needs to be changed around, I will do so accordingly. I hope to see you all out there, and have a Happy New Year.
NWP Engineering is proud to sponsor the 2008 Florida Maxima Meet. Below are some details about what we are planning for this event.
---------------------------------------
Would you like to purchase an NWP Engineering Thermal Intake Spacer Kit at the meet?
If you would like to purchase a Thermal Intake Spacer Kit at the meet, please send an email to [aaron@nwpengineering.com]. Please specify if you want the VQ35DE or the VQ30DE 4th gen Maxima Kit.
The discounted price for both kits have been set at $200, CASH ONLY. That is a savings of $35!
I will try to bring enough kits for everybody to the meet, but if you contact me directly, that will help me get an idea how many kits to bring.
---------------------------------------
Win FREE NWP Engineering Products!
Drawing Details
To enter the NWP Engineering Drawing, you must donate toward the meet. Please send your donation via Paypal to luke@vqpower.com. Make sure to add your forum screen name along with your payment so you can be added to the donation list. There is no minimum donation. But please keep in mind that the Pavilion and Grass Field Rental is NOT cheap. This meet is expected to be 2 to 3 times larger than the biggest Maxima Meet Florida has ever seen. So our food bill will be much larger than usual.
NWP Engineering is going to give away several free products at this meet. On the day of the event, please come to the NWP Engineering table inside the main pavilion. Once we have confirmed your donation, you will get one ticket. Please be prepared to provide the name on the Paypal payment that was made.
The winners will be announced at 5:00pm. So please stick around because you must be present to win!
Here are the products we have decided to give away:
- Several NWP Engineering Tshirts valued at $13.99 each
- An Embroidered NWP Engineering Collar Shirt valued at over $25
- NWP Engineering VIAS/SSIM Block Plate Kit valued at $66.00
- NWP Engineering Thermal Intake Spacer Kit valued at up to $235.00 (You will have your choice of kit made for the VQ35DE, VQ30DE, VE30DE, and VG30E Maximas)
---------------------------------------
Car Show Details
This is no ordinary car show! Your presence at this meet automatically enters you into the show for your chance to win a trophy for one of the several different categories. The categories will not be announced until the winners are chosen and the trophies are being handed out.
The winners will be announced at 3:30pm. You must be present to accept your trophy, otherwise, it will be handed out to the car we designate as 2nd Place.
Are you traveling a long ways to attend this meet with your Maxima?
If so, please send an email to [aaron@nwpengineering.com] for your chance to win this particular trophy class for the person that drove the farthest to attend. This is the only category that will be released. The others are a secret. So, make sure to send me an email and tell me where you are driving from. If I don't receive this email from you, then we will have no way of knowing if you qualify to win this award.
---------------------------------------
Help invite more Maximas!
Please print out these invitations and help make this one of the biggest Maxima Meets on the East Coast! Feel free to put these flyers on any Maximas and 3.5 Altimas you see in parking lots.
Why do all these meets happen on a Sunday? I have been wanting to go to one of these for 3 years and they always happen on a Sunday. Why not on a Saturday, that way some people can make a weekend out of it?

We tried the last South Florida meet on a Saturday in Sept. But a lot of people have to work on Saturdays. Sundays seem to be the best day for most people.

yall had better show up if i'm coming 15hrs down the road....
Its not the drive that gets us, its the turnout...everytime we try a meet, no one shows. Like G-ville, we had like 20 signed up, 5 of us showed. The Daytona meet was cool, but still, like 35 were signed up, only like 12 showed. I dont want to drive 4 hours to turn out and see 5 people.

I understand where you are coming from. But if you have ever attended a SFMG Meet, you'll know that this isn't the case.
During our last meet, we had about 50 sign up. But I think 35 actually showed, which is pretty good for a Saturday meet. And that is ONLY Maximas in the Miami area. We are certain the Miami crowd will support this meet as usual. We just hope the people in Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Daytona and Jacksonville can help out the already guaranteed 30+ Miami Maximas that will attend.
And one more thing. I will not invest the time and money in order to sponsor a meet that has the potential to be a dud. If the NWP Engineering name is on it, you better believe it's going to be a good turnout!

I take it you've never been to a meet that ive organized.. you best believe there will be plenty of people there. Miami alone can make a meet of 20 cars if we like, thats not including broward and west palm beach members.

No, I won't be able to install the spacers while I am in town. I will be way too busy. But I will be happy to help you find a reputable shop in Palm Beach County.

I know you guys can get more people than that! You can be in WPB in about 3.5 hours.
Make sure you tell them to post in this thread.

We grill it up! Good food and REALLY nice people all with Maximas. It's always fun to check out other people's Maxima all in one spot. We'll line up all the cars and take group photos.
I know you may think most Maximas are all the same. But you'll see some interesting things like Drag Racing Maximas like mine, Rear Mounted Turbocharged 4th gen, Lambo doors, a convertible 6th gen, and VQ35DE motor swapped 4th gens.
You'll have fun! This meet is going to be nice b/c this is going to be the biggest Florida Maxima Meet ever. If you have friends with Maximas or 3.5 Altimas, tell them to come on out for the day.

Oh well. It's the thought that counts. I know it's possible some other people from PA are willing to make the drive down. Silverfox04 was definitely going to do everything he can to make the drive.

Aaron...count the TIS crew from Jax to come at least 5 deep (Confirmed). Orgullo, Capital15, MaximaPimpin, Chino337, Darussian, and possibly two more.(Tentative)
But it only takes 10.5 hours for me. I don't speed that much. But I definitely don't make unecessary stops. I can get off the highway, fill up the tank, use the bathroom and be back on the road up to speed in less than 8 minutes! I do that only one time on my trip to South FL from NC. I have breakfast and lunch packed in the car.
I'm lucky to have family down here, so making this meet isn't that hard.

Sounds good. I hope even more guys from Jax join the bandwagon! Thanks for your support!

Wish I could go, but count me out.
Yeah. We are hoping to compete a little bit with the NE crowd. Now that will be tough. They had 100 Maximas I believe at their major meet last year!
