VLSD

You have the VLSD. All 92-94 SE's have the VLSD. I believe the automatics do too, but have heard otherwise. I know for sure you do though. Nice car you have.

Jack up the front end and turn one of the wheels. If the opposite wheel spins the other way you have the LSV (Limited Slip Viscous). You probably do but I recently replaced my half shafts and it listed both kind of shafts for 92-94 5speeds.

The LSD in the Maxima is a fluid type locking unit. Do you think turning one would get it going fast enough to move the fluid and lock it up or spin it the other way?

Basics on how a VLSD works?

I get the fluid part... do the front wheels just have to spin fast enough to create friction and lock the fluid clutches (or whatever it has) together?

also... gonna change my tranny fluid, do you guys use Redline MT90 or MTL with the LSD? Thanks!
