I know that it's been mentioned by MaineI30 before in the past, and now that I30Cefiro is the June MOTM, I thought I'd take a poll to see how many people think it's a good idea.

Hmm...so there will be like 10 people using it. Doesn't matter to me.

For now, yes. However, it would give I30 owners a place to come to for information/help that they may not have right now.

The two cars are built the same .. its the same technical information .. the only difference the I30 has from the max is cosmetic reasons.. i am sure they can use the respected Gen forums for that..

How about VQ.org so we can include the new 2002 altima owners.

Excellent idea, the Pathfinder 3.5 owners could come too.

Actually I haven't. After rethinking my previous position. I think we should have some offical Disscussion Group for the I30s. After all the maxima/I30 are very similar, but the other vqs are on different platforms.

not a bad idea, but i think alot of questions or post may not be read because of the small number of i30 owners. maybe change the profile so that we can put down I30 instead.

I30 Owner

I say go with a change in name...MAX-I30.org....and keep the forum as one. After all the cars are similar and most of the I30 owners once had a Max., right?

While on the subject, does anyone know if the FSTB for the 2000 Max will "fit" the 2000 I30?

I think we should add 2 extra forums called 2nd Generation I30 (2000+) and 1st Generation I30 (1995-1999)

I don't think a big VQ forum would be good because there would be too many automobiles to have a forum for. There would be a Z forum, some Maxima forums, a Pathfinder forum, an Altima forum. I think Maxima.org should only be for Cefiros/I30s/Maximas. I think we should be seperated. Isn't that the reason why we have Maxima.org? To be seperated from other automobiles. I think it would be OK to have the I30 forums because they are basically the same and they are just cosmetically different.

If you give it a thought...If you create an i30 forum...There will be more i30 owners registering on this site since they hadn't had a place like that before. So yes its definately a great idea.

all this about changing the name isnt that great an idea. maxima.org is what everyone has gotten familiar with. maybe we should change the subtitle from "the home for maxima enthusiasts" to "the home for maxima/ i30/ cefiro enthusiasts" or something.

that's mostly true but a lot of technical divergence started in 2000. It is only going to increase. It might be nice to have our own forum.

I vote YES

it would be nice to have a separate forum, but the info I find here is as much helpful as if this were a separate I30 forum. as someone else mentioned, the mechanics are the same, just the looks are different...I wouldnt bother with having a totally diff. forum to talk about changing out I30 grilles. But seriously, I30 owners dont really have anywhere to group together...there ARE a lot of I30 drivers, but most are the type to not care too much about mods or home repairs.
