Hi everyone!...looking for first Max

Hi, very nice forums you have going here. Im 17, and im looking for my first car which is a 4th gen Maxima. I found a 98 SE with 80k miles. Its black, power everything, black leather, fog lights, sunroof, heated seats, front and rear airbagsk, keyless entry alarm, Bose CD, climate control and 5 spd. I wanted to know if 80k is considered too much for a Maxima. How long can a Maxima run for it is maintained properly? Its selling for $9,500, kbb is about $10,400. Ill run a carfax when I get the VIN, but does is seem good? Thanks.

Good work on getting a 5 speed. 81k or whatever miles you have still means your a baby. I am at 85k and am still modding the hell out of my car. Treat it right with proper maintenance and she will be yours for a while...

is that price from a dealer, or private?

and yeah, 80something thousand miles is nothing if the car was properly cared for. ~85k on my '96 and the engine ran like new until I crashed it a few days ago.

The price is private. Its a nice lady that is selling the car so it is probably in good condition. The carfax is clean and it had 2 owners. Ill probably go see it some time tomarrow.

That price seems about right for all the features it has, so if anything talk her down to 9K if you can, if not i would still jump on it my friend. Looks like you have yourself a good deal.

And i have 90,xxx on my 99 SE and its still kicking...still modding the hell out of it...If treated right like everyone says, she'll last you awhile...

man, thats' a great deal, what kind of nice lady is selling a 5 spd black on black leather SE with the works? Go grab it man! I bought my 98SE 5spd with 80k miles on it also for 8200. No bose and no leather and no climate control but the car was clean and the clutch is sweet as hell also. A car with your options will go for 9
ask for 8500 first and work your way up.

Hello.
Can someone tell me exactly what the "Limited" following the "SE-" on a 99 max meant? Special set of options, trim, etc?
Thanks, Bob
