Briding an amp

Ok guys Ive never done this before. Everyone keeps telling me to bridge both of my mono 1200.1 amps... Is that possible? I have 2 audiobahn 12's @ 1100 rms each.. Why cant i just hook each amp to a sub? Why is it better if I bridge it? #1 question HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU BRIDGE IT? hehe thanks for the help guys

You cannot bridge one channel amps. The only thing that you can do though is to put one amp to each voice coil if the one of the subs is a dual voice coil one but to only one. So ultimately two amps for one sub. Just remember that amps are tested with gains all the way up and you should never run them all the way up so the power isn't an issue. power doesnt blow speakers frequency does. More power is good you just have to lower the gains which in turn will run the amp cooler. my two cents.
