GXE tranny stuck in second
Hey guys,
Something weird happenned to me this morning.
I started up my car ('90 GXE), and as usual I let it run a little before moving off. However, this time as I moved off, the tranny shifted from first to second, and refused to shift any further.
After driving about a 1/4 mile or so, I pulled over, and put the transmission in park, allowed the car to run a little more, then pulled off. Same thing happenned.
Pulled over once agin and allowed the car to idle a bit longer, everthing was fine after that.
Is this something I should be worried about, or is it indicative of a tranny problem down the road?
I'm about to drain the fluid this week and replace with AMSOIL synthetic.

could be your shift solenoids too, theres a diagnostic for the tranny around here somewhere, it will tell you if the tranny's electronics are screwy, just do a search, also, have you ever had any problems with the O/D?
