turbo for 93 se

does anyone know of a turbo kit for a 93-94 se? if so i would like as much info as possible because I would like to get one in the near future. Thanks Zach

We should get enough people together and get a petition of people wanting this setup and i bet with enough people we can get a company to fabricate one ! Now what company do we want ? suggestions ?

right 4200..umm.no i can make one myself custom easily and ALOT cheeper than that for my ve. Myself and a few others are working on the prototype. Its a matter of finding the right combonation of boost, air and fuel. When this is done ill have the ultimate sleeper.

hey i agree that talk is cheep i hate it when people say thell do something and it seems impossible but i love the challenge to make the impossible possible. i work on a limited budget and this is quite a challange you cant easily get a turbo header for a ve motor. it al has to be custom fabricated. these things take time. i also hate being flamed my petition idea was just that....an IDEA ! IMO the company that has the money and resources for such an item would make a decent amount of money on them as i know we would all love to have a VE30DE-T

i'm tempted to flame anyone else who is into this whole 3rd gen turbo sh*t. but i will not. it has been done. and it is doable. i have archived printouts of threads of ones who have done it. with great results. so value is in the pocket of the wallet-holder.

go N2O. its cheap and safer these days and you can drive N/A most of the time until you get the urge.

speaking of N20, i was just talking the other day with one of the guys at a local import shop where i live, he suggested i put in a NOS wet kit. i've herd on the board here that drys the way to go. i personally think at wet set up is kinda shaky. any one else have input on this?

i have read up on this so i know only book-knowledge stuff. hands-on experience is the best, so listen to me only to a point >>> dry is "safer" as with wet you are forcing the intake manifold to literally be subject to fuel spray -wet. the intake was not designed to do that. the possibility of "puddling" in there is dangerous as it could lead to detonation. wet is potentially more powerful, however. and new technology makes wet less risky.

now bear in mind, i was an avid skeptic, even hater, of N20 for quite a long time as i believed it was "cheating" or not real horsepower. but, dude, it is more horsepower. boost is boost. and your car will run like a bat out of hell with nitrous. imagine, even with no mods, the 160hp VG suddenly having 225hp? now add N/A bolt-ons that maybe get you 25hp. now you have 250hp. prolly only 200 to the wheels, but that is not small (a good half-as* rule of thumb is to take any factory or rated hp benchmark and subtract 25 to 30hp and you get the ballpark actual wheel horsepower, as energy is wasted turning the engine components and pulling the car from a dead stop).

JWT makes an easy pricey plug-and-play 65 shot dry system. you get the basic as well as N20 ECU upgrade. the beauty of N20 is that you can remain N/A while subjecting the internals to the heavy boost in only short spurts. plus it is cheaper and immediately doable. all you need to do is open your wallet. not the engine (eg, turbo - an ambitious project, while doable, is impractical for most enthusiasts who visit this org. more than the wallet is opened, yet that, too, is opened far and wide. you need a second car).

thats sort of how i feel on the subjuct. why spend 2grand + plus on a turbo kit, when you can get pretty much the same boost with NOS, for much cheaper.
