possible DIY speaker repair?

possible DIY speaker repair?

i found out that my rear speaker (nonbose) is torn around the edges.. is it possible to like.. tape it up or something? i dont want to (nor do i have the funds to) replace it right now..

It'll work just fine, just as long you don't play your music real loud. If you play your music loud, or JAM, it will just sound distorted. I doubt if tape will repair your problem.

use some light silicone around it to hold it in place, plan on buying some new speakers, cuz it'll never be the same. Go to E-bay..theyres some inexpensive 2-3 way speakers on there.

try places like radio shack, and other electronic stores like that. They usually have clearence sales on speakers. My friend last week picked up a set of Kenwood 6 1/2" for $18 at Cowboy Malony's.
