FS: Various Midpipes for Short ram intakes 00+

Hey guys, I have 6 midpipes available for anyone who wants to make their own short ram intake. Or I can sell you a whole kit with everything you need for a short ram installation.

I have one for an 00-01, and 5 for an 02+ Maxima. The shorty one in the pic is good for anyone who wants to replace the helmholtz resonator, Or if you want to go with a velocity stack. The longer midpipe will work with a stack but it is a tight squeeze.

The pipes are 75 Shipped, kits are available with from 160-180 plus shipping depending on how many couplers and clamps you want. Only 5 showing in the picture, the 6th one needs to be repainted. I dropped it when the paint was wet so I have to sand it down and recoat.

Here's the installed pic of the shorty with velocity stack

Here's the installed pic of the longer version with only one coupler.

Nice ! What's the WHP gain over the helmholz resonator? I really like the slight angle the resonator offers to make the fit even better with less strut tower interference and the quiet nature of the helmhotz resonator gives the car a slightly throatier exhaust note that is subtle and low! Ever thought about selling the entire intake minus the MAF?

I sell the complete intake kit with AEM dryflow filter, maf adapter, new breather hose, 2 clamps and one coupler for 160 plus shipping, 2 couplers and 4 clamps is 20 bucks more.

I don't sell new maf's or housings

Sorry no dynos, but basically the longer short ram is a berk copy. So if the berk has gains, then so will this.

Sorry, I'm not seeing any difference in the pictures and have tried searching, what exactly is a velocity stack?

http://www.bpinitiatives.com/stacks.php

The velocity stack mounts to MAF adapter with a silicon coupler and the over sized 6" opening base of the AEM is then clamped to the velocity stack piece

The picture below is with the full size mid pipe and the accordion coupler, and the velocity stack and large AEM filter as you can see it does fit.

Note I do not sell the intake with the velocity stack for the prices mentioned. I recommend getting this vibrant if you want aluminum, or look up BPI and get an ABS plastic one. You will need a much larger filter with a 6" opening.

I'm not 100% sure as I have not tried it. But IIRC I make these the same length as the berk, and there are a lot of guys running that hybrid setup. So I'm assuming they will. Actually, I think the berk is 7" and I made these about 6 and 3/4 to 6 and 7/8"

If you want i actually have one more which I did not paint. The breather tube is only 3" long so you would definitely need a longer breather hose. But I could bring it back to work and make the midpipe any length you want between 4 and 7 inches.

i'd actually rather have a shorter breather tube. let me take a measurement and see what the ideal length should be. I'll also be running a 45* elbow instead ofthe accordian. Way too many interferences as it is.

You can keep the injen filter and the MAF cone adapter, toss the rest and replace it with one of my pipes. Actually keep the couplers and the clamps. LOL you'll need those.

Do you still have the one for the 00-01 available? And whats the difference between it and the 02-03 one anyways? I'll take it if you still have it.

yes I do, the 00-01 has 2 smaller pipes on it for the IACV valve (i think that is what the two little hoses do anyway). You can see it in the pic, the breather hose looks like a T. First pic of the thread, middle midpipe.

paypal is knight_yyz at cogeco.ca. obviously replace the at with the @

I still have 3 of the longer versions for sale, and the shorty to replace the helmholtz, all for 02+ Maximas. These won't fit the 00-01 without some modification.

I don't think so. The Helmholtz resonator has an angle built into it, so if you replaced it with the shorty, I don't think it would line up. I made the short one for those who think the frankencar/berk hybrid is a little too long.

I could be wrong though, you may be able to make it work depending on how you have it all set up. The stock airbox has been off my car for so long I don't remember how it goes together

BUMP.

They just delivered mine and I'm happy with the quality.

Even though these are essentially just midpipes, you can see and feel the quality. The metal is thick and strong and the welds are equally as strong and they look beautiful. It was also packaged with plenty of stuffing to keep it secure in the box.

I'll install it when I get a chance maybe the end of this week or next week. (im recovering from an accident)

So far I back these midpipes 100%. You guys need to start ordering.

So I decided to install it today. I basically just deleted the resonator and I have an adaptor on the end of my MAF. (made from another MAF housing).

Just like this except I have a de-k.

I went from just a cone filter on the end of the MAF adapter with the resonator still there. It's alot louder. I can hardly hear my cattman rear section anymore at WOT. But it sounds great.

I did have to get a shorter filter though because the midpipe is longer than the resonator. But my filter was old anyway.

How much for full kit including cone filter on an 02? Also what would the price be without the filter? If I decide to order the full kit without the filter, what size filter would I need to buy to fit your pipes? Thanks!
