australian maxima vs american maxima!!!!

yes i am in australia, i recently bought an aus spec maxima

obviously im quite entrigued with your maximas!! they look quite different have more power ( i suspect) and are possibly a different model code/designation

any ways i was wondering what is the model code of your maximas mine is J31, it has a 170 kw 333nm VQ35de, inside the cabin looks completely different to yours aswell

i have a photo of one the same as mine (i havent really taken photos of mine yet....)

so do feel free to tell me about your maximas and i shall try and tell you about mine LOL

Any possibility of sharing those interior pictures with us? Interested in seeing how it looks inside. The Australian Maxima looks as if though is a cross breed from the American Maxima (back-end, atleast from that angle) and the Infiniti M (front-side)

umm ill go to the nissan australia web page and get some photos LOL

ill have to go to my parents place and down load some photos and then put them on the web for you guys

yer i know i sound dodgy as... but ill put some photos of my car up tomorrow some time after we have finished at my g/f's grand parents place tomorrow night ( its like 12:20 am here and i should prob go to bed)

anyways you can see them at http://www.nissan.com.au/maxima/gallery.asp
one thing with those pictures, they are the update, it has a very minor bumper/grille restyle same with tail lights interior is basically the same, mines cream leather as its a black car also mine has wood grain inserts, speedo cluster has orange dials instead of the modern looking white dials

ill most definatly have to get some proper photos.... these are nice but meh not my car obviously

in other news i went to the drags and got a 15 second flat, pretty good i reckon considering its stock and today was effing hot (40 degrees celcious) and it only cooled down to 25 at around 10pm

also as you can see there is a temp gauge in the heads up display thingo the temp got to 42 in that today hahaha

The Australian Max interior looks cleaner (fewer buttons) but the info screen looks exactly the same. I'm surprised they don't use the same steering wheel as the US. Honestly, i like the US steering wheel better. The Australian Max has a MUCH better stock grille than our 04-06 models.

And, yes, it does look a little strange to me for the steering wheel being on the right side, but I spent some time overseas so I've driven a car that way before although it's been 20 years.

I think that the Australian Maxima is more luxury than the US spec one and is more expensive of course. Just a thought

Otherwise, the J31 Spec.R from New zealand looks hot.

Features:
Sports exhaust system
Side skirts
Front and rear spoilers
Rear boot spoiler
18" Alloy wheels
Sports suspension package
Sports leather seat trim
Also-
ABS, climate control, central locking, vehicle dynamic control, driver and passenger airbags, active head rests.

It's call a "Skyview", it doesn't open but it does have panels on the interior of to open or close the roof liner. I always leave mine open. I opted to save the $1,000 instead of getting a sun roof, plus I think it looks cool.

Its got nothing to do with RHD, as long as its got all the papers to be imported to the US, and those vary from state to state, basically if you dont live in Cali you are kool you can bring that car over here, thats my rule of thumb

And Agent, I fixed your speedometer, here you go,

I kinda like it. Interior is simple and decent. Rims look good and remind me the Q45's wheels. It's a nice car

If you realy like it, you can have one imported from Philippines or Russia with a steering wheel on the left side

does anybody know where to get the chrome window trimming that comes on the aussie max? i know there are aftermarket one's available but all the ones i see have the pillars chrome also, or the whole trim doesn't go around all the windows. I think our U.S.max's would look much better with it, i mean the infiniti's and altimas have it, why were we left out. All other luxury lines have it>>BMW,Mercedes, etc, hell even the older generation max's. its like they just forgot and left it out. If there are none available do you think it would fit off of the altimas,g35,m35, or aussie max's?? thanks
