Wait a bit, see if it returns to normal.

Did you clean your IACV as well?

Did you reset the idle? Unplug the TBS, turn the black screw on the IAC to get RPMs to 650-700 range?

If you removed it, did you use a new gasket?

Check the High idle cam, you might need to back it down now that it is clean.

Besides that, check all the hoses, look for an air leak.

Did you take it off or just use the motorvate method?

dont reset the idle. Take the TB off. Take the IAC Valve off. Dont spray a bunch of cleaner down the intake so you will smoke on next startup. when finished, give it about a week to return to normal (prob wont even be that long). The idle was set right to begin with. assuming no one has ever touched it, cleaning it will set things back to where they were supposed to be. adjusting the idle will simply mask whatever is causing it to be higher in the first place.

the most likely problem is a leak. either the gasket is bad or something wasnt reattached properly.

that is supposed to be open like that. Did you use a new gasket when you took off the TB? its a cheap $2 orange gasket. did you spray a bunch of tb cleaner into the plenum? did you remember to tighten the clamps on the black air tubing that run from the air box to the TB?

the clamps on the box? no. the clamps on the hose? yes. the motorvate method does not get it clean properly, so that could be the issue also.

^^thats for the ambient air temp sensor..there should be a sensor in there your missing the grommet, it doesnt really matter, as it is before the air filter and the sensor is for diagnostic use only..it doesnt affect performance.

Its unrelated to your other problem, stop avoiding what people are posting, unplug your TPS and adjust your idle with the black screw on the top of the IACV. Usually any time you clean the TB/IACV your idle will go up assuming it was dirty.

It's IATS (intake, not ambient) and there's a bit of debate over whether or not it's only used for 'diagnostics', and whether or not it hinders performance, regardless of what the FSM says.

I just cleaned by throttle body, took it off and cleaned it right. But then I got lazy and did not clean the IACV.
Drove the car a little, and it was idling really fast, up around 2k at start up. (it was idling low, that's why I wanted to clean it).

Thought about adjusting the idle, but decided to finish the job first.
Took off and cleaned out the IACV, then ran it again.
The idle was much lower now. Around 1000 - 1100 in park and about 850 in gear.

Now I will leave it alone for awhile and see if the idle changes over time.

What I learned = If you are cleaning the TB, go ahead and clean the IACV too, it is easy to take off and makes a difference since the two parts work together.
