Starting Problem?

So my 01 Max randomly does not start, battery is fine. It doesnt even attempt to turn, all the acc. come on but the starter does not crank. Replaced the starter, still nothing. Put the gear lever in neutral and wiggled it back and forth while turning the key and it started. Is it the park/neutral switch?? Where is that located?

According to my Haynes manual, it is on the transaxle by the shifter cable. There is an adjustment procedure shown. Disconnect the shift cable, loosen the switch retaining screws, set the manual lever in neutral, use a 5/32 drill bit to line up the hole with the one in the switch, then tighten down the switch, reattach the shifter cable.

best ground is any ground. Engine block, tranny, body of car. There are 10-15 ground cables in an engine bay for different circuits. If one of them gets corroded or left loose that circuit will not get ground. so by replacing 1 ground it does not mean you have solved ALL your electrical issues for example left side BOSE channel cutout lol
